- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I give one sum price for homeowners. In this price it includes: materials, paint, labor, and the company overhead (for insurances). The main pricing is labor. I do a detailed walk around with the client letting them know of specific areas that will take longer and cost more.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Sherwin-Williams is our paint provider and they continuously have workshops throughout the year for contractors. Also, I like to use the best products on the market so I will test drive many new products throughout the year.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always wanted to start my own business and an opportunity came up to learn the skills necessary by managing my own painting branch. After learning everything I could from them, I left and started Texas Handiwork. Painting was just my excuse to start my own company.
