- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I had my kids, I wanted to lose weight. I enjoyed exercising and I wanted to find an occupation that was flexible enough to work around my kids schedules, so I decided to pursue personal training. I now own my own gym on 620 in North Austin. Check out www.johnsgymatx.com. You will be training in this awesome facility! In addition you have access to the gym during open gym hours.

- Strength and Conditioning. Let's lift them weights! - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (martial arts) training- any females who wants to try this and is curious, I am more than happy to train! It's an awesome sport with an emphasis on self defense. -Nutrition counseling
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find a trainer who will focus heavily on diet as well as exercise. Find out what their principles are when it comes to healthy eating. Do they seem to know what they are talking about? Do your research when they propose a certain eating plan. I tell my clients to actively do research on "clean eating" so they know what they are getting into.
