Houston Dog Butler
About this pro
I was dumped before they ever met my dogs. Said it wasn't a match for them. Whatever.Jul 26, 2017VerifiedJayce M.'s reply
Hi Shirley, I felt that we had a really great phone conversation and that we had worked hard to fit you into our schedule and arrange a meeting time with you at your soonest convenience. As this business is our life & blood, and accurate/honest reviews very important, we feel the need to publicly share a screenshot that documents you having been the one to elect to cancel the meeting with us, and not the other way around. I have lower back problem that flares up every now and again, but truly the victim is my Cane Corso Mastiff. If she doesn't get her exercise everyone suffers. Dog Butler was there for me when I needed them most, when I was hurting. When I needed my baby girl to get her exercise they were there. The walk report includes pics, whether or not they "did their business #1 or #2, they refill the water bowl and even took out my trash. This is a very conscientious, affordable, premium service for your pet. I've used them three times and have been very satisfied quality of service provided.Jul 4, 2017Verified
I like that the dog walker leaves detailed notes on how many times each dog did what, and his mention of refreshing the water if it needs it. In addition, he has not lost my escaper, which I was worried about. When I came home the first day I was relieved to hear her barking inside the house. Thanks for a great job!Nov 5, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our pricing is straightforward and simple. We have three different walk lengths, priced at $16, $24 or $34 each, and we never charge extra for additional pets. We do have an additional fee on major holidays in order to fairly compensate staff, but otherwise you'll never be surprised by any add-on fees. Need to cancel a walk on short notice? No problem! Simply let us know before 6am on the day of service and you'll be credited for a free service the following month.
- What types of customers have you worked with?At Houston Dog Butler, our walks are offered in three sizes: 20 minutes, 35 minutes and 60 minutes. The majority of our clients, especially those who work long hours and want their pup to be able to stretch their legs during the afternoon, opt for the 20 minuet visit. Priced at $16, our 20 minute visit is a great value and gives dogs the perfect amount of time outside.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? Not all dog walkers or pet sitters are created equal! In order to be best-protected, be sure that you're hiring a service that's fully bonded and insured, performs background checks on their entire staff, and regularly supports ongoing staff education, such as Pet First Aid and CPR.
