Introduction: I didn’t plan on becoming a real estate agent. After graduating college with a degree in Construction Management, I went to work at my family’s construction company operating bulldozers and excavators, tracking invoices, and maintaining payroll. I then took on the challenge of developing a branding and marketing strategy for the business while overseeing multiple projects in an executive role. Heck, I even changed lightbulbs when needed! Little did I know that all of these combined experiences would uniquely prepare me for my role in real estate. I understand the importance of timelines and contracts, both of which are crucial in a real estate transaction. But buying a house and property is much more than numbers on paper. It is about my clients and what I can do to make their home buying adventure awesome. My past experiences have only grown my desire to help individuals and families buy and sell their homes. I will help navigate the ever-changing, sometimes complicated real estate world. And if you ever need help changing a lightbulb, you know who to call.

We interviewed about 6-7 different companies and agents before we chose Lee because we felt like he best understood what we were looking for in our first house. We did our entire home buying process remotely from another time zone and as first-time homebuyers, we had tons of questions. Lee was really patient with us and explained the ins and outs of the process really well without ever making us feel dumb or silly. Definitely went above and beyond on all measures.

We had about a month between our close date and when we could move in, and he checked in on the house, the painters, the roofer, and the cleaners we had come in and out and then some. We moved in the week before the big February storm and he and his wife even had us over for coffee and to charge all our devices when they got power back. Definitely went above and beyond on all measures.

Lee was wonderful to work with! He went out of his way to show us houses quickly as we were out of state and could only fly in on the weekends. Was sending us new houses daily to fit our needs. He also patiently our questions and explained the entire process well. Would highly recommend Lee when buying a new house!

Lee made a stressful experience much easier than I have had in the past. His accessibility and friendly demeanor will keep me using him in the future. Not to mention, he was able to get me the price I wanted in a short period of time. Highly recommend using Lee Wood.

Lee knocked it out of the park on our listing, he knew the market, timing, and pricing that got us a great number of offers, well over asking, and an easy close.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

When listing a home the fee is 6% and includes all the following: Paying buyer's agent commission Staging consultation Professional Photography inside and out by an experienced pro Drone Pictures (if possible and needed) 3D Virtual Walk Through (Matterport) Advertising fees for social media and online ads Listing in the Multiple Listing Services where all websites can pull the data Transaction Coordination and Recommendations on offers that come in

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The first step is a phone interview to see if we are a good fit for each other and getting some basic information. Next, we would schedule a face-to-face meeting in person or via zoom/facetime. For homeowners thinking of selling, an in-house meeting is important for me to get an actual image of the condition home is in. This helps me locate the right comparables for when I present my opinion of market worth (potential listing and sales price). Then if all parties are ready to move forward with each other a Listing Agreement is signed for Homeowners looking to sell and Buyer's Representation Agreement for buyers.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I graduated college with a Construction Management Degree in 2003. Since I have taken 180 hrs of Real Estate required course work for my real estate license. Since getting my license I have received designations for GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute), which is a 90-hour course that goes further in-depth on real estate contracts, marketing, and brokerage. SRS (Seller Representative Specailist) to hone my listing skills to better serve homeowners when needing to sell their houses. I have also received certification of PSA (Pricing Strategy Advisor) which helps me provide better pricing opinions for sellers and buyers.
