We are so thankful that we found Jake. He spent a lot of time giving us feedback before we started the project to make sure we had the best product. This was our first time in the studio and our daughter is only thirteen so he did a great job of making us feel comfortable. Jake really took the time to make sure that the songs reflected her vision while guiding her with industry standard type suggestions. He always made sure to respect our time and give us extra time to make the final product perfect. We highly recommend working with Jake!!!Jun 29, 2019VerifiedUGP x Takeoff Terminal Studios's reply
Thank u soo much for the AWESOME review! Did u get the link I sent for the MASTERED songs?
I knew Jake’s knowledge of production was excellent before meeting him, and my experience with him, producing an audio for my website, verified this. The final product was exactly what I envisioned, meaning, when we first met, he really listened to and understood what I was hoping to create. The quality is top-notch and I enjoyed talking with him. An A+ experience. Highly recommended.Nov 26, 2018Verified
I have recently completed a 5 song project with Jake. It was clear from the beginning that Jake had great experience in music composition and production. His experience shines brightest when developing songs with background vocals and instrument accompaniments. Being our first project working together, Jake was both patient and honest; which is very important when recording marketable music. Most of his musical ideas added great value to my songs. I would describe his musical ear as appropriate and clever. I'm a believer that all music has a direction, a message. Jake clearly supports this notion. Put simply, Jake was a pleasure to work with. He will challenge you and tell you what he believes. This will ensure the best possible product.Nov 13, 2014Verified
Working with Jake, the producer, was a great experience! He really understands music and the little things that can really tie a song together. Not only was I happy with the end product, but it was a fun experience making it along the way. Definetly recommend him to any artists looking for a producer.Apr 11, 2016
I sat in on a recording session with Jake. I am a vocal coach myself and I was very impressed with not only his audio expertise but also his knowledge of the singing voice as well. He was patience, confident and very reassuring. I'd recommend him to any educational program and/or solo and ensemble artists.Mar 29, 2014

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First off, I understand there could be a lot of "...fear of the unknown"... as I'm sure you have all heard HORROR STORIES about the recording process, and the music business, in general. I try to connect with the artist over the phone, or via text message, to address those fears and get them to a place were they are comfortable, and ready to share their vision for their music project. I will then schedule a meeting at the my studio, with a walk-thru and tour of our facilities. We then settle into our conference room, to talk more about your project, vision, creative approach, timeline, budget, etc. I ask about the goals/expectations of their project regarding social media numbers (if any), sales, streams, video views, desired promotion/marketing campaigns, etc. I then talk about how the process typically works, and try to answer ALL of their questions, and concerns, about our individual approach to each, and every project that we do here.... Once they are comfortable, I'll then show them some of our most popular recording/production packages, and we'll try to settle in on one. We may schedule a "follow-up" pre-production meeting, if necessary, but then we'll schedule their first recording session!! Pretty simple and stress-free!!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I was trained as a recording engineer/music producer at The Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, OH, Columbia College, in Chicago, Il, and CyberTEX Institute of Technology, in Austin, Texas.
