I took Brenda's 2 day course to become a Reiki Master. I had previously taken Reiki 1 with another practitioner and I am so grateful that I found Brenda because she is a very nurturing, knowledgeable teacher. She supplies a thorough handbook that provides not only educational and study materials concerning Reiki, but also reading materials that will support you on any sort of Spiritual path. Before each Reiki attunement we did a group meditation, that put each of us in the clearest frame of mind for the attunement. Immediately after the attunement they encourage you to begin self healing to transition through the "detox" period following the shift to higher vibrations. The space the class was held in was facing the greenbelt and provided a great view while still being conducive to learning. Brenda provided snacks and we took a short break each day for lunch. On the second day we went to her Reiki room and went through the process of interacting with/performing Reiki on a patient. Overall, I left feeling like I'd received a thorough education, plus many materials for me to read as I progress in my studies. My detox period has been gentle and wonderful compared to my first attunement, and Brenda followed up with me a few days after the class to check in on how I was feeling. I'm really pleased with the experience and would encourage other students to attend her weekend course.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a 90-min session for $50. I work out of my home, which I have no additional overhead, so am able to offer a very reasonable price for the 90-minute session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For my Reiki students, I do offer one-on-one sessions after they have been attuned to Reiki Level 1, Level 2, Master level. I am also available for questions via email/phone/text if they have questions or want more info on a subject.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was suffering from fibromyalgia, myofacia pain syndrome, which Western Doctors only know how to treat with drugs. Drugs are not good for me or anyone, way too many side-effects, which cause other issues. So I had a Reiki session, had great results, had another Reiki session, great results again, and I was hooked. My Reiki Master is also the one who I had my Reiki Sessions from. Reiki has become a major part of my life now. I take no drugs at all. I am enrolled in Bikram Yoga, which I would never have been able to do if I didnt have Reiki in my life. I am also a Legal Secretary (this will change though) and I use Reiki to keep me sane while working in this environment. I self-heal on a daily bases. I am in much less pain, and do not suffer for all the other issues that fibro causes. I started teaching Reiki in Sept 2010, as I want to share this wonderful energy healing to all so that we can become well, healthy, happy, loving folks. I've learned that I can use Reiki on anything: car, pets, teen-age daughter, attorneys that I'm assigned to, the food and drink (water) that I daily ingest, house, send Reiki to Mother Earth, etc.
