Joel and his crew did a great job removing the popcorn ceiling and repainting it. They projected that the project would take 2-3 days and they stayed within that timeline. The ceiling needed to be repainted with an oil base paint because my sheetrock was stained, Joel honored his price and repainted without any extra labor charge. Joel communicated well and even though there is no website and we did not sign a contract I would recommend Joel for his excellent work and value price.
Shelby Cooper is a contractor that follows thru and does exactly what he says he will. Great communication! He made the entire process easy. They came in got the work done quicker than what we expected. Shelby Cooper is the contractor that others should strive to be like.
Chase did a great job with installing the wood floors in two rooms in my house. Floors look fantastic. Chase was very awesome to work with and delivered what he said he would.
We had Jake install new laminate flooring and baseboards in our home. The experience was professional from start to end. Even through several changes (on our part) prior to work starting, Jake handled it all and provided excellent service! The new floors look fabulous and I would recommend Ausjac to anyone looking for quality work at a fair price. Thank you, Jake!
Whole house interior painting including popcorn ceiling removal as well as painting kitchen cabinets. Good and efficient crew with reasonable pricing. Ms. Ross, the owner has design background and excellent advice on what works well in color selections. Very good attention to detail. In addition to painting, she produced a very competitive bid for tiling ~740 sq feet 12x24 of floor tiles. The tiling crew she provided installed the tile first with good preparation then installed tiles with very fine grout lines as requested. Overall, very impressed and would hire again for future work.
Rene's team did an outstanding job at a very reasonable price. The best painters I have ever used! We will definitely be using them for future projects. Painted walls, trim, concrete floor, and did the re-caulking in our bathrooms. Looks great!
We hired Felipe to help us remodel our bathroom. We wanted to remove the tub unit and install a standing shower. We hired Felipe based on his sheer honesty about the cost of the project as well as his ability to begin the project as soon as possible. He charged us only for the labor of removing the tub unit (and hauling the pieces away), and the installation of the new shower, including the tiling. All of the expenses came out of our pocket, so we purchased the tile and door on our own time. Any of the other materials needed (concrete, siding, grout, etc) Felipe purchased and billed us for later. He showed us every single receipt for anything he bought at the time of reimbursement. It was all at retail prices (he bought everything from Home Depot). He also picked up the door from Home Depot for us, as it was unable to fit in our car, at no extra cost. At the end of each day he told me exactly what he and his son (the only people working the job) did and exactly what his plans were for the next day. If there was going to be a delay of any kind, he let us know right away and made it known that it was not going to change the price that we agreed upon at the beginning of the project at all. If you are having any bathroom work done in your home, I HIGHLY recommend this man. We are extremely satisfied with the completed project and the entire process. We will definitely be hiring Felipe in the future should we want to remodel our second bathroom.
I also ask each contractor to provide phone number of references before I hire them and did this with David. The first lady I talked with was an elderly lady and she spoke so highly of David that I wanted to ask her to confirm she wasn't his grandmother! After hearing similar good things from others I hired David to do tile work for my bathroom and stone work for the shower. The quality of the work was superb. David is one of those guys who has great skill and the commitment to do the job right. Because I wasn't exactly sure how I wanted to finish the rock shower, David and I agreed on a hourly fee so I could make any changes as we went. I was very impressed when I saw on one invoice that he didn't charge me the whole time he was working one day because he felt like he had made a mistake that caused extra time and didn't feel that I should have to pay for him to fix it. Overall I was extremely pleased with his work. He does a great job and is honest in the process.
Ronny and his crew were outstanding! My wife and I have a workshop in our backyard that I was using as my home office. It was very bare bones, so we hired Kathryn's Carpenters to finish it for us. Ronny came out right away to look at the space, and followed up with a detailed estimate shortly thereafter. It was our first time using a contractor, but their prices seemed very fair. The whole space is now drywalled, with a new window, sliding doorwall and laminate flooring. They even completed the project in less time than was originally stated, and we are extremely happy with the quality of work and how everything turned out. Definitely plan to give Ronny a call for our next project!
We hired Frank to replace the floor of our covered front porch where the wood had rotted. He did a great job for a reasonable price. We have hired him to do another project and expect more great results. He is experienced, honest, reliable and hard working. What more could you ask for!
Kelly Cobb is a great handyman / painter / remodel person. I hired him for a small job and kept him on to basically remodel the house and another investment property. Some jobs he did were: removal of popcorn ceiling, re texturing walls and paint after electrical work cut holes in drywall, bathroom tile - floor and tub, installing bathroom vanity, landscaping, kitchen remodel, exterior & interior paint on outside house etc. I would definitely recommend Kelly as he is a hard worker and can complete just about anything. I attached some pictures of just the kitchen remodel. I described some crazy things I wanted done such as the live edge bar and his idea for the stainless steel back splash, which he had the contacts for the custom slab (he sanded it, sealed and treated slab) and steel work. He also has other contacts if needed. Trustworthy, nice, fair prices and conscientious! If I ever need additional work or do a flip I am excited I know a contractor. When the job got really big I did use his recommended helpers. He also got along with the neighbors and some subsequently hired him after my job. Thanks Kelly!
By far the best experience I've had working with home improvement contractors. The entire team was very customer oriented, professional, and trustworthy. Travis and his crew are top notch and I would definitely recommend them and I will also use them again for any future projects. v/r Mike & Wendy
Marvin was contacted me on here and was able to give me a free estimate the same day. He gave us a very good quote and was able to start the work the next morning. He and his partner removed some vinyl flooring that had been installed incorrectly and were able to recommend an affordable laminate that looks great in my living room. I was very impressed by the speed and efficiency with which he works. I explained the time crunch that I was in and Marvin was able to complete the entire job in just one day. The floors look fantastic and they gave a lot of attention to small details like the matching of our baseboards and transitions, cutting the transitions flush with each other and the wall, and they were meticulous in their cleaning. This is by far the best experience I have had with a contractor in Austin. I would hire him again and I would recommend him without hesitation for any renovation or remodeling project.
Philip is quick, efficient and reliable at very reasonable price! I'm very grateful for his help! Thanks Philip! The prelude: picture the water standing like a pillar rushing strongly out of the nob I just tried to tighten with brute force in my bath tube. The water level is rising on the bathroom floor, I'm wet like a dog, and like a bad comedy I stand with the corroded valve lever in my hand outside the house as my panic level is turned up another notch. I called the emergency plumber an half an hour ago, they still haven't returned my call... The breakthrough: I remember seeing a handyman truck and trailer on my street. I know it's late by now but I literally have nowhere else to turn. I walk up to the house and the lights are out, I knock on the door, a sweet lady answers, the handyman is sleeping. She wakes him up, Philip grabs his tools, and we head over to my house... The solution: it only took him a couple of minutes to figure out was going on and contain the situation to the point where we could go to sleep and use the water as needed. He came back the next day with the proper materials and after another 15 minutes he was done and our faucet is updated and ready to be relied-on for a bit longer.
Let me preface my review by saying that I am a Jersey Girl and have an East Coast mindset in business matters: "Give me the bottom line; get in, get it done, and get out." COTC was referred by my roofing contractor and I was skeptical at first because of another review I had seen on another website that seemed to be a little knit-picky, but after getting a professional reference, I thought, "Okay, I'll at least meet him". James Wade made the initial contact by phone and I explained my Jersey mindset, which he adapted to immediately. He is a refreshingly honest, personable and VERY professional man who genuinely cares about what his clients want. The work for which we contracted with him was supposed to be for replacing sheet rock that had been water-damaged--according to our insurance adjuster--but James educated me on what damaged sheet rock looks like and we ended up only needing sheet rock repair. He kept me involved in the decision making from matching color of existing paint to blending new painted walls with existing surfaces. He set the expectation by giving me a quote that was only off by $11 and meeting the timeline of the work. The day after work was completed, it was not even noticeable that any work had been done! Besides the quality finish, I was educated on insurance adjusting, the difference between drywall replacement vs. repair, and we talked a lot about Jesus and our faith walk...which was a GOLDEN BONUS for me! Of note, he had hired a 2016 high school grad on his way to college as his assistant for the summer who was quite an amazing, conscientious worker, himself (Kudos to James for the mentoring of our youth). The depth of his character has already convinced me to hire COTC next year when we are ready to do a full interior paint job. I highly recommend COTC if you're looking for godly character built into excellence of service. S. D. Cornelius, Spring Branch, TX
Vinyl flooring repair. Work done very well at the price quoted. Called frequently with updates. Had to delay the work a few times due to other projects, but he communicated well and worked late to complete the project as soon as he could. Would hire him again.
Medrano's flooring installed both hardwood and carpet throughout my property. They not only did it at a great value, but completed it fast and prior to the estimated date. I will definitely use them again and would recommend anyone else looking for a good flooring contractor to as well.
Heritage did an amazing job remodeling my kitchen and replacing my floors with engineered wood. Communication was the best I’ve ever experienced in a contractor. I will be using them again!! Thanks.
