Singing Lessons

Oriana has been a delight. This is my first voice lesson ever and she has helped calm my nerves and really learn to even be able to practice outside of class. I really appreciate her approach.

Singing Lessons

Ori is amazing! I’ve learned so much about music and different forms of singing from her. Aside from her academic background in music, she is also a singer/songwriter! I’d definitely recommend her!

Singing Lessons

Oriana is wonderful! I am really nervous to sing in front of people. I was scared for our first visit, but Oriana made me feel really comfortable. She was really encouraging and taught me a lot too. She's been a great teacher. I'm grateful to her for helping me break through my shell.

Oriana has been absolutely incredible. I don't have anything negative to share about her. She has raised my daughter's confidence level more than anyone. Not only does she teach the fundamentals, she goes above and beyond, and always teaches to the age appropriate level. She knows how to relate to her students and make them feel accepted. My daughter has learned so much from her and her love for music has grown exponentially. We love Oriana!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Rates and Policies: I have an adaptable schedule but I prefer having a day and time to meet every week. I am flexible about rescheduling cancelled lessons as long as it's done with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Late cancelations are considered a missed class and therefore I ask to be reimbursed for the reserved slot. 1 hour a week is standard and recommended to get started but you can choose other plans. I can help you make a choice based on your goals, budget and needs. $50 for one-hour lessons and, $45 for 45-minute lessons and $40 for 30 min.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

During trial lessons I go through the lesson curriculum and go theough some questions regarding the student's experience, interests, strengths, weaknesses and overall goals. We later do a few ear training exercises and warm ups for me to assess their "ear" skills, rhythmic pulse, and pitch matching abilities. We finally go over the repertoire for me to determine the student's vocal tone, quality, expression, confidence and natural talents as well as challenges After lesson 1, I create a personalized lesson plan that involves the following: - appropiate warm ups - ear training if needed - technical exercises and concepts to understand the essentials of singing - and repertoire of your choice applying the techniques learned

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I majored in Professional Music with a focus on Songwriting and Performance at Berklee College of Music. Relevant coursework: - Vocal Pedagogy class: Estill Voice Training - The Private Studio Teacher - The Artist Entrepreneur - Stage Performance Techniques with American singer-songwriter and Folk musician Livingston Taylor - Advanced Songwriting with multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winner Javier Limon - Songwriting and lyric writing master class & workshop with Pat Pattison
