Vikas Dawar is an outstanding tutor. We worked together on a graduate level statistics class that I was taking. I hadn’t been in school in more than 15 years, and had very limited understanding of the subject. Vikas did an incredible job of explaining concepts in a way that made them much easier to understand. Vikas would show me an example of how the problem should be solved and then would have me practice it. For me, it was the best way to learn and like having a professor assisting me rather than a tutor. Vikas was always available when I needed him, and he also made time to help me even when it was last minute. On my final paper for the course, Vikas helped me brainstorm and expand on my ideas and then he helped me think through what resources I needed and how I would prove my thesis. I am excited to use Vikas as a tutor again in the future. I am positive he will help me understand more complex subjects in a way I would never learn by simply doing the course on my own.
