April was AWESOME!! she worked with me to get the best graduation photos ever!! And I am not easy to photograph. She made me look absolutely stunning! and she capture perfectly an event that is very dear to my heart. I could not have hired a better person to document this momentous occasion for me! She worked quickly with me, and had the photos back to me the next day so I could get them out in my invitations! Thank you so very very much April!! Your photos were so beautiful they put me to tears. I will definitely recommend her and will ALWAYS use her for my special life events. Not only did I make a wonderful friend but an AWESOME photographer!Apr 11, 2017Verified
There is nothing little about April Little. After 2 very disappointing results from a man who was very sweet but also abit arrogant with over 30 years in photography, lots of equipment but very little results I needed to look for another photographer. This is when i looked on Thumbtack and found 3 options. Starry-Eyed photography-April little had stood out the most. Her pictures were clean, clear with perfect focus on the subject (the person) and getting the best out of it. it was very natural, fun, it was a perfect match to what i was looking for. I had very little time , i was interviewed for an Aviation Magazine and had 2 days to find a good photographer and deliver 3 high quality pictures, one for the cover and 2 for the story. After the current photographer who was hired by the magazine failed to deliver twice i hired April. She had no big equipment, no fancy flashes, just her beautiful smile and her powerful camera. Now, note: i was having the worst week of my life, puffy eyes from bad allergy, stress and lack of sleep due to some uninvited issues at work causing a lost of 2 people which put a gread deal of pressure and stress on all of us ,me especially. I already did the photoshoot twice, my skin was dry my body still swolen from allergic reaction to gluten. And my hair was a mess. It was very windy and very chilly. But a short session of clicks and the Queen has delivered !!! she made me look at my very best, the right light the right contrast, the right focuse . Now, i might be a great aircraft mechanic but i am for sure not a very good model. Her pictures came out so good the Magazine decided to use all of her pictures, and the editor even said this is by far the best subject they advertised, thanks to April's fantastic work. I am most definitely will using her again in the future and will recommend her to others. She has a natural talent and great modesty, im very happy i chose her, she made something so big for me, be even bigger and better. I can't wait to get the magazine so i can show the world what April Little is made of .Feb 24, 2017Verified
April was great, and able to turn around our holiday photos on a tight deadline. My kids enjoyed working with her, and we got some perfect photos.Dec 19, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Generally, I charge $200-$250 per hour from the first full hour on. But I understand budgets and I am always willing to work with clients to try and meet their needs wherever I can.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I love to meet my clients in person before the wedding day. Lunch, a coffee date, dinner with the guys too. I feel like that first meeting breaks the ice so that when the wedding day comes, it's like I'm a friend showing up to photograph them instead of a total stranger. It makes for more natural photography in the end and that's critical.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I'm self trained. Of course, that's a somewhat deceptive phrase. I'm taught by experience, by dozens of the top photographers who share their expertise online, by constant study and practice, practice, practice. I really believe you can never have too much information or too much experience. Every single shoot, I bring something new and I learn something new. That's one of the things I love best about the job; learning and growing constantly.
