Roof repair on rental property to correct a previous roofers repair. Medina roofing took before and after pictures to let me see what actually had been done. Very satisfied with work.

He was professional and on time I was charged nothing for my roof while other roofers asked over $200 for sealing up a few holes.

I have always had a bad taste in my mouth when dealing with roofers, however Dana Gregory and Rowley Roofing has changed all that. The crew worked hard. quickly and neatly. I would give Rowley an "outstanding" rating.

Keto Roofing put a roof on my daughter's house near the Fort Worth Zoo two years ago and then again last spring after the March hail storm. She was happy, I didn't have a roofer I was satisfied with, so I called Eric Keto to put a roof on my house. I've had a real estate brokerage for 40 years, working both residential and commercial properties for individuals, partnerships, and receiverships appointed by Tarrant County family and civil courts. I was without a roofer for the first time in memory, and the hail storms had destroyed many roofs. Also, I have been mayor of Edgecliff Village for nine years before retiring last year. I am aware of the scams and cons of many so-called roofers, and we instituted a requirement that roofers register with the city before knocking on doors. In other words, I am skeptical of new roofers. Keto Roofing put a roof on my house, staying on time and within budget, and even managed to upgrade to an impact-resistant shingle without raising the price. Several leaks the former roofer had been unable to stop were reduced to one, and then Eric Keto and the roofer's crew chief returned over and over until it was solved. No more leaks for the first time in years. The crew of roofers was excellent: laughing, polite, and hardworking. The next door neighbor hired Keto on the spot, and he put that roof on the next week. I then hired him to put on a roof of a residential property I was managing near Willow Lake. Same result: on time and within budget. I have managed a medical building for the last 30 years near Bellaire Dr and Hulen St for a partnership of doctors. It needed a flat roof and I had no commercial roofer. I thought I had found one, but when he brought me a contract with no liability whatsoever for himself and no limit for me, I called Eric Keto. While he had done excellent work, it had all been residential properties. He said he could absolutely do it. He did. There are 8 tenants in the building, and it is difficult, to say the least, to coordinate them all. After one day the TPO roof was done at nights and on weekends. Keto rented light towers at his own expense, and since night work is slower than daytime work, I'm sure it cost the company several thousand dollars. The price stayed the same. The job was so well-done that the local Mule-Hide representative, after a thorough inspection, guaranteed the roof for 15 years. That was it. I highly recommend Keto Roofing for residential and commercial roofing. If there's ever a problem, he comes back until it's fixed.

My roof suffered some hail damage last year and after filing a claim with my insurance company, I started searching for reputable roofers/general contractors. I reached out with my inquiry on Thumbtack and Matt Snow was one of 5 contractors that reached out to me promptly. Of the contractors I met with, Matt quickly made it to the top of my list. His courteousness, professionalism and reasonable estimate gave me just the confidence I needed to make my decision on which contractor to work with. Not knowing much of anything about roofing, it was a bit daunting to choose a contractor in the first place but Matt kept things simple. Not only did he provide a free inspection/estimate but sat down with me and reviewed the insurance claim, answering any questions/concerns I had. He also walked me through anything I didn't understand about the claim and at no time made me feel obligated to his business. The deadline for my claim was just a few weeks away and I was very concerned about the amount of work and time it would take for my roof to be completed and for my claim deadline to be met. Matt understood my sense of urgency and communicated his availability to me as well as providing me an accurate detail of how long it would take for the work to be completed. On the day of the job, his fellow contractors (he works with a team of two others) showed up promptly at 7:30 a.m. and started the work. I dealt with Matt directly, from start to finish of the project, and I appreciated there being no confusion or need to repeat myself to anyone else. I was charged for the roof after work on it had been started and Matt checked in a couple times throughout the day (it was a one day job) to keep me posted. Matt and his team are very reliable in my experience and wholly professional. Professionalism with courtesy go a long way in my book and Matt definitely defines that. This is an honest, transparent (reasonable rates and itemized invoice) and hard-working business that definitely wants to earn their customer's loyalty as much as their monetary business. My roof was a small job that didn't require a lot of hands but Matt and his team of two worked around the clock and delivered. I could hear them on the roof for the duration of the work and have no doubt as to how dedicated they are to getting the job done and done well! I also got the impression that no job is too big or too small to have Matt's full attention and dedication. Matt will work with your time, budget, claim and concerns. I highly recommend City Wide General Contracting and can't say enough great things about Matt and his team. This is a lengthy review but I wanted to cover all the bases of what I look for when hiring an individual/business. I am a first time homeowner and had no personal/direct experience with property damage and insurance claims prior to this. Matt put my mind at ease and made this process a bit more pain-free. I hope this review will be very helpful to anyone who is like me and wants to ease some of the stress that goes along with seeking reliable, reputable and courteous businesses. If you need roof repair or any General Contracting work, definitely consult with Matt Snow and City Wide General Contracting.

I had a mysterious roof leak around the chimney. I called three roofers, one suggested I replace the entire roof, the second suggested the water is leaking from the ridges. And Darrell, suggested that the roof is leaking due to improper flashing. Darrell's suggestion was more inline with my observation. I hired Darrell, and he came out and did the job right. Today we had a pretty serious thunderstorm and I checked the leak and there was none. I feel relief now that the leak issue is fixed. Thank you Darrell for a job well done. Since you also gave a 1 year warranty I have extra peace of mind on the workmanship. I highly recommend Darrell for any roof repair work. Thanks Darrell.

We had a hard time figuring out, who was gonna do our roof. For we wanted someone honest. Any roofer will work a deal, but finding one that is honest was not as hard as we thought. Firewheel did exactly as he said he would do. Very experienced crew, clean and fast. Definitely recommend Firewheel to anybody seeking honest, clean, fast, and experienced roofing.

A substantial leak appeared on Thanksgiving. I reached out for a roofer the day after Thanksgiving and Saturday morning, in the steady rain, Select Construction was at my house to inspect the job and give me an estimate. The bid was very fair. They even sealed the flashing to minimize further damage until the repair could be made several days later. However the leak continued so when Select Construction returned they quickly diagnosed the problem - a sizable hole in the corner of my roof due to faulty installation. The revised estimate was extremely fair and they quickly went to work repairing the damage. The next day they came out with an employee who got to work replacing the ceiling and wall that was damaged by the leaking water. Select Construction provided me prompt, thorough and quality service at a very fair price. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Five Stars All the way! Carsa Construction did a fabulous job on our roof and ceilings. We purchased our home last year and our inspector did not thoroughly inspect our roof. With all the rain this year we ended up having 5 leaks and damage to the interior. C.J. came out understanding that we were paying out of pocket they replaced our roof and repaired the inside ceilings. C.J. followed up on the work always making sure the work was up to our satisfaction. The roofers did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. The drywall and painters did a super job on the ceilings. One of our ceilings is a 18-20ft ceiling and is located in the entrance of our home. His guys worked and worked to make sure the area was repaired properly and it looks amazing. We are extremely pleased with Carsa Construction. Thank you C.J.

I hired Infinity Roofing to work on my home from the recent hail storms from March 2016. The initial contact from Josh the project manager was amazing. He was very professional and walked me through the entire process. If I had any questions once the work began he just a phone call away. This was important to me due to my recent experience with another company. From the outside work to the inside work the workers were great as well and picked up after themselves. I would recommend Infinity Roofing as a profession company. Thanks guys for the great work and professionalism!!!! Ms. Talib

Selling our house and had a few repairs needed on the roof. Had several quotes and Texas Roof Lady wasn't the cheapest, but wasn't the most expensive. Ultimately I picked them because of the friendly demeanor of the roofer that came out for the estimate. Did the repairs I needed quickly and looks do have done a great job.

I'm a 30 year industry professional designing and building well over 1000 commercial, institutional and industrial buildings. Of the 1000's of contractors that I've worked with, the CW Roofing team is easily top 5 ever. I hired them to do a metal shake roofing job to repair hail damage from April 2016 storm. They started the job promptly, completed it on time, finished what they hired on to do, and had NO surprises. Their crew is ethical and professional in every way. The job included roofing, siding, window, shutter and door replacements and replaced the patio cover which was destroyed. They performed over $80k of work nearly flawlessly, no small feat.I'd hire them again tomorrow if I had the need and recommend them monthly.

David did a thorough professional job regarding my roof calling out a damaged roof right on the dot - which insurance agreed with - and then followed up to negotiate with them for adjusting underestimations. He scheduled on time working around weather predictions with caution. He is not only a honest and professional roofer, but the best representative you can get for yourself with your insurance.

We had an unusual roofing problem: combined metal & flat roof, complicated by 6 sky-lights. We'd been disappointed by several roofers over an 8-year period & spent a considerable amount of money following their recommendations. The flat roof/sky-lights still leaked. The Ducker reps spent an incredible amount of time studying the problem & met with our insurance adjuster to discuss resolution & liability. We felt that their representations were honest & hired them for the job. It has been more than a year & we gratefully have no leaks!

We had shopped around quite a bit before finalizing on Accurate Roofing Systems and are extremely pleased that we chose them Reasonably priced excellent quality of work and the work done at a very fast pace We recently replaced our 15 year old roof from wood shakes to tile shingle roofing. A great team of hard working crew was well coordinated, efficient, and we saw a lot of team work. We had 2 new sun tunnel skylights placed in our master bathroom and one in the walk-in closet and they did an immaculate job in fixing those. The new tile roof has given a sensational look to my house making it stand out in the neighborhood. Unlike the other roofers we talked to this team was very approachable and both would retu0072n our phone calls on the very same day. They do not charge you a single dollar till the final work is completed great Job Completely satisfied and would highly recommend them for all roofing purposes.

My BBB complaint was inappropriately copied and posted to this site before Metroplex roofing had the opportunity to fix the situation (the long post w/wrong roof). Their lousy deceptive salesman caused most of the problem. They DID resolve the issue the best they could. It's not perfect but they did what they could after he did so much damage. They were polite and fair. My unauthorized story should be removed.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is a standing seam metal roof?

A standing seam metal roof may be a strong, durable, safe choice when you’re considering metal roofing installation options. A standing seam refers to the raised seam where the sheet metal roofing panels join. Traditionally, shingles and roof panels lie flush to the roof, making them more prone to rust or penetration by water at their seams. In a standing seam metal roof, the raised (or standing) seams run vertically from the roof ridge to the eaves, with no horizontal seams. In addition, the fasteners joining the metal panels together are concealed, providing even fewer opportunities for water or moisture to build up. The cost to install a standing seam metal roof will depend on the type of metal you select, the size of your roof, and the cost of roofing labor in your region. Materials will play a major role in your metal roofing installation costs. If you select standard galvanized steel, the cost per square (100 square feet) might be in the $150-$300 range, while a high-end choice such as copper or zinc could be between $1,000 and $1,500 per square. Here is one example of cost:

      • Standing seam metal roof: $300 per square to start, including materials and labor.
        • A 30-square roof could cost $9,000 or more.

Can a metal roof be installed over shingles?

Metal roofs are durable, environmentally friendly, safe and budget-friendly. If you’re considering an update, metal roofing installation doesn’t have to mean completely removing your old roof. In many cases, metal roofing can be installed over your existing shingles. Research building codes in your state, as many require that after two roofs have been installed, all roofing materials must be completely removed before a third roof can be put on. This protects your home’s structural integrity and your family’s safety. Carefully read contractor reviews and choose someone with extensive experience with metal roofing installation. One concern when installing metal over shingles is that over time, condensation can build on the shingles and cause the metal to rust. This will lead to rust around the panels, making them more likely to come loose in a storm. Nationally, the average cost for metal roofing installation ranges from $6,000 to $20,000. The wide price range represents different roof sizes, different types of metal, and the cost of labor in different parts of the country — and can also include the cost of removing an old shingle roof prior to installing the metal. As a line item, the average cost of removing an old roof to prepare for installing a new roof, plus adding new roof decking, costs on average about $45-$75 per square (the pro roofer’s term for 100 square feet), depending on the pitch of the roof. Always make sure you have a clearly written contract and a warranty on both the labor and the metal.

How much does it cost for a metal roof?

Metal roofing installation is an attractive option thanks to metal’s long lifespan, hardiness and fire-retardant properties. Nationally, the average cost for metal roofing installation ranges from $6,000 to $20,000.There are different types of metal roofs, each with their own installation needs and materials costs. Roof size also affects your metal roofing installation costs, as do regional labor rates. Roof size is measured in squares; one square equals 100 square feet. Here are some examples of the average cost for a metal roof:

      • Standard metal roof: $120-$150 per square to start, including materials and labor
        • A 30-square roof (a 3,000-square-foot roof) could cost between $3,600 and $4,500 for a typical three-bedroom home.
      • Snap-Loc metal roof: $200-$225 per square to start, including materials and labor.
        • A 30-square roof could cost $6,000-$6,750.
      • Standing seam metal roof: $300 per square to start, including materials and labor.
        • A 30-square roof could cost $9,000 or more.
      • Tuff-Rib metal roof: $250-$350 per square to start, including materials and labor.
        • A 30-square roof could cost $7,500-$10,500.
      • Mid-range metal roof package, including all accessories: $300-$500 per square.
        • A 30-square roof could cost $9,000-$15,000.
      • High-end metal roof package — such as zinc or copper — and all accessories: $1,000-$1,500 per square.
        • A 30-square roof could cost $30,000-$45,000.
