Leah is beyond talented! I am so grateful that I was guided to her as I was really trying to grasp and shift my experience with my Twin Flame. Leah is extremely down to earth and is truly dedicated to her work. I’ve honestly never met someone more passionate, knowledgeable and gifted. My experiences have been jaw-dropping (in a good way) and has changed my entire outlook on things. She is extremely professional and the values she provides is absolutely priceless. The amount of value I’ve received in simply in a few sessions is by far mesmerizing. By far one of the best services I’ve used and purchased. I would highly recommend Leah to anyone who is looking for high quality coaching regarding soul connections.

When you decide to make a change, Tonya Sampson " my trainer", is only part of her label. She becomes your brand and that's the only way I can describe her. She's your life coach, sounding board, friend, sister, and that person that sometimes at 530 am has sunshine coming out of her bum and you want to punch but instead hug!! Because she's there for you!! She's changed my life to say the least. She always thinks of things that could motivate me, make me laugh when I want to cry, and just be a better person, not just physically but as a human being! It's not about the check in/out hour session for her when she is with you. She's personally invested in you and a cheerleader the whole time, whether you ask for it or not. ;) So having her as your trainer isn't what you get if you work with her. She treats you like you are literally her only client, is flexible, and has your best interest at heart at all times. She's a huge blessing in my life and honesty if you can pick... who wants some meathead trainer that could care less about you when you can have her?

Lisa Reyna is a force that you want on our side to help you become a better you! I've had the pleasure of using her services and by far she is one of the best coaches I've invested in to help me uncover my blind spots that are preventing me from further success. I'd recommend her to anyone.

I just wanted a new resume and ended up with years of life coaching. Tony and I still joke to this day about how we started. I asked for a resume and he delivered. We are going on 3 years now and I have continued to use his life and work coaching services. Tony has been fantastic and he works with a great group of coaches. In fact, I have worked with his other coaches on special sessions to help with specific issues. Tony and his team bring a different value because they can help with the complete person and not just one aspect. I have come to really value that engagement and his dedication.

Worked harder than I could have ever done on my own. Very creative and interesting ways to work various muscle groups so no boredom. I also learned a lot about body composition and diet. If you're looking for a trainer who can work with you regardless of your level of fitness (Joey's a beast, but I'm not), you're looking in the right place.

Trust The Process. Those are the words I think about when I look at how much Jesse has helped me. Coach, Guide, Mentor, these words seem small. When I met Jesse I was a lost, overweight, newly divorced woman with ambitions and goals but no direction. Jesse took the time to get to know the real me. With that knowledge he was able to set me in a direction I could both see and understand. Through his guidance I have lost my excess weight and successfully kept it off. I am now the CEO of a burgeoning Wellness Center and a working goat farm. Jesse heard me and created steps to help me succeed. The process of getting from where I was, to where I am today was made easier with the personal program Jesse set up for me.

Michele's deep understanding of getting to the core of the issue while building on strengths and providing an authentic supportive relationship is her gift. Michele combines compassionate listening with provocative inquiry and in my experience that is the essential formula for a great coaching experience. She's real, been there , done that and not afraid to show her own vulnerability. She has helped me grow both personally and professionally.

John Carney was a great source of 'reason' for me in a time of chaos. He helped me to see beyond the fray, and focus on real-life issues. John brings a unique perspective that quickly differentiates undesirable symptoms from the root of the issue. I like to hit things head-on, and not waste time on incidentals. That's what John helped me to do! Can't say "THANK YOU" enough!

Cheryl has done such an excellent job of really integrating all her therapeutic talents into one amazing, power-packed hour (or two) of full-body healing. I so look forward to my sessions as I know I'll come out feeling so rested, at peace, and fully ready for whatever is next - anything from an energetic workout to the best night's sleep of my life! Or if I prefer I can specify one particular type of therapy during a session and Cheryl will accommodate. She's also incredibly intuitive - bordering on psychic - and somehow just knows what's going on with me and what areas need the most healing. Often I don't even need to say a word and Cheryl finds the problem all on her own. She's also highly flexible about times, dates, and locations. I love my in-home sessions especially when I think I'll just want to pass out in bliss afterwards! Lastly, Cheryl's prices are a great deal for the level of service offered.

Incredibly worth it. I was hesitant to take on a career coach and wasn't sure what kind of value I would receive (I have always considered myself a fantastic writer and communicator) but in this competitive workforce, HR&Co. gave me a huge edge and new information. They are wonderful to work with. Shanda is amazing! Her feedback comes from a seasoned, experienced professional who will give you great insight and explainations on best practices. Trust in her and in the process.

Corey has a great way of talking to encourage and motivate you. While he will ask you to step out of your comfort zone he does it in a manner that is not abrasive but gentle. He is thoughtful to the items that you want to work on and will think before putting what will be helpful into words. He listens well. Corey has a background of knowledge that is unique and very helpful. He also has great insight into many issues. I highly recommend Corey J Ford since he has helped me get my business moving in the right direction and has helped me with personal issues as well.

Dr. Corbin helped my son focused on a career path after graduating from college. He listened to my son and helped him figure out his strengths that he could bring to any employer. Dr. Corbin also provided excellent suggestions on how to network using social media and LinkedIn. Dr. Corbin made himself available whenever we needed to speak to him. He was always pleasant and helpful and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking to shine above others.

          About

An owner operator of several small businesses over the years, I understand the fear and trepidation of striking out on your own. I also understand the joy of following your passion and finding a balance between doing what you love and getting paid what you're worth. I am passionate about education, fitness and community service. For years, I worked training police officers, firefighters, and EMTs, creating programs that provide the best results in the smallest amount of time, and maintain physical readiness. I offer both in person sessions as well as online training and programming. I specialize in optimized training programs that have been scientifically demonstrated to provide quick and lasting results. I have worked in corporate fitness, helping large companies reduce healthcare costs by addressing employee health and wellness issues including (but not limited to) all aspects of time-/stress-management, smoking cessation, weight control, nutrition, and chronic conditions (diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.) I firmly believe that a good trainer, life coach, or wellness expert must always keep in mind that behavior modification is at the root of our work. The advice I give you won't matter unless I can figure out how to motivate you to make the changes necessary to implement it. As an NSCA certified CSCS, I worked with many private clients as well as student athletes. Duties included evaluating performance and prescribing sport specific exercises aimed at improving performance. I am proud to have worked with athletes from all of Humboldt State University's teams (D-II) including football, basketball, softball, crew, track and field and powerlifters. I also have extensive experience working with older populations, creating strength programs aimed at improving balance, fall-prevention, and increasing quality of life. As a capoeira instructor I help people gain the strength and confidence to preform acrobatic movements and defend themselves should the need arise. I also worked with a local non-profit (The Ink People) to make classes available to socio-economically disadvantaged children. I am comfortable and experienced in evaluating and creating exercise programs for many population types including special-, elderly-, youth-, athletes-, and general-population.

          Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

          What is a life coach?

A professional, accredited life coach works with people to help them make important changes in their life, either growing in their profession or changing gears in their personal lives. They help clients turn their dreams or wishes into realistic, attainable goals. They guide people through the process of making life changes by helping them evaluate the steps they must take to reach a particular goal, then help them decide how — and whether — to take those steps in the most efficient, effective and rewarding way possible. A life coach acts as a motivator, strategist and accountability partner. Unlike a therapist, a life coach doesn’t help solve problems from your past — they’re focused on helping you move forward with new ways of acting and thinking that will help you reach your goals. Some people specialize in particular types of life coaching, including life balancing coaches, small business coaches, executive coaches and personal finance coaches. Some meet clients in person, while others hold consultations over the phone.

Regardless of which type of life coach you’re interested in, make sure the person holds an International Coach Federation (ICF) credential. There are three tiers of credentials: Associate, Professional and Master, which require coaching experience ranging from 100 hours to 2,500 hours.

How much does a life coach cost?

A life coach helps clients set and reach professional and personal goals, develop positive habits, and deal with stress. Some people meet with a life coach once or twice, while others form an ongoing professional relationship, meeting regularly in person or on the phone. The average national cost to meet with a life coach ranges from $80 to $130 an hour. Some coaches offer per-session pricing, especially for one-time meetings; expect to pay an average of $100-$125. People who want to work with a coach over a period of time to explore life transitions, career growth or lifestyle changes may be able to get discounted pricing in a package. For example, three 60-minute sessions cost an average of $300, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $350, and four 60- to 90-minute sessions plus unlimited contact between sessions cost an average of $400. Some specific types of coaching, such as relationship or marriage coaching, cost more than standard life coaching. For instance, three 60-minute relationship coaching sessions cost an average of $500, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $550, and six 60- to 90-minute sessions cost an average of $650 when purchased as a package. Training and experience can also affect the cost of hiring a life coach. An Associate Certified Coach, who holds a certification that requires only 60 hours of training and 100 hours of coaching experience, will charge less than a Master Certified Coach, who typically has at least 200 hours of training and 2,500 hours of coaching experience.

          Why get a life coach?

People of all ages and in all careers have called in a life coach. Life coaches are accredited professionals who can help you figure out the tangible changes you can make in your life to reach your goals; they can even help you turn your dreams into goals, if you’re not sure where to go next. A life coach can also help people find their purpose in life. Life coaching clients often have an idea of what they want to do, such as help people or work with animals, but don’t know how to turn that passion into a career. A life coach can help clients work through the options to find a clear path with concrete steps that lead to an attainable goal. A life coach can also help clients make a major career change, such as starting a new business. Life coaches can help clients develop better habits that will make them more successful, acting as an accountability partner. Life coaches also often guide their clients through major transitions in life, such as a career change or other stressful situations that are made easier with guidance from a neutral third party.
