- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While my pricing is bound to change overtime once I have worked more in the field and built a larger client base, my prices are as follows Senior portraits and engagement sessions - $150 Bridals, maternity, and family sessions - $200 All day Wedding shoot - $600 Wedding and Engagement package - $700 Wedding and Bridal package - $750 Full Wedding, Engagement, and Bridal package - $ 875 (wedding sessions require a $150 downpayment and non- wedding sessions require a $50 downpayment) *pricing is subject to change with distance
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a Senior at Texas A&M University in Commerce, Tx finishing my degree in photography. While I am still relatively new to advertising my self as a wedding/portrait photographer (my personal work is more art and fashion based cortneybattle.com), I am constantly learning from my peers who are full time commercial and portrait photographers about the craft and how to make myself better.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Being a photographer is not just a hobby, it is our way of life and the ones who are serious about it study and enhance their craft. While pricing may seem high, you have to take into account not only the hours that we are there at the photoshoot, but also the cost of our equipment, the cost of advertisment (websites, business cards, etc.), and mostly the hours we spend in front of our computers going through hundreds sometimes thousands of photos, editing and making each photo look its very best. This is our art and while we love what we do we also have to eat lol.
