I was a colleague of Rick Tobin in the field of emergency preparedness. He was a proficient and succinct writer, delivered the product on time, and was highly regarded by management and co-workers. He assisted others by helping edit their plans to fit a common goal. Much of his work was technical. He prepared plans, presentations, training materials, power point presentations and delivered them in a professional manner. Rick is an accomplished author. He has an ability to write both fiction and non-fiction. He has a very creative mind, both in his writing and ideas for future projects. Ricks creativity is a gift few people have. I can honestly say he is the most creative person I have ever met. A true artist. The Thumbtack website is not working correctly. In trying to score Rick on the qualities listed, it will only allow one of the categories to be scored. I chose Professionalism and scored him a five star. The other categories would also be five stars, but to chose another category negates the previous one.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I developed three guides, now for sale, that will help classroom teachers increase the safety and emergency readiness for classrooms in K-6, middle schools, and senior high schools, as part of the Safe to Learn publishing company.

Set specific times for meetings to discuss and review your products. Make sure meetings have a specific outcome in mind before scheduling. Be sure to follow up with the agreed actions agreed upon in the meeting.
