We had Germaine come out and give us a quote to prune our Bradford Pear, remove rosebushes, pull a tree stump, and create a pea gravel and stone walkway. Germaine is extremely knowledgable and when to school as an arborist. They broke our projects down and completed the bushes, stump and pruning in one day, this also included injected my tree due to bores. The tree came out great. The walkway was laid, but it did not come out to our expectations, due to our failure to explain exactly what we wanted, as well as some shotty wok by the crew. the work was not poor it was just not great. Germaine was not happy that we were not satisfied and make sure to make it 150% right. We could not be any more pleased with our tree and our new walkway. I would recommend Germaine to anyone who wants great, fast, and beautiful work. i will use Germaine again in the furture and I could not find a better price in the metroplex!
He repaired all of the cracks in our stone work for a fair price.
Friendly and courteous service. Very hard working team. Very willing to take suggestions and requests in to account. They totally transformed my side yard by adding a brick and flagstone sidewalk and a decorative stone bed to prevent erosion below eve of the roof. Also, added a 3 inlet underground storm water drainage system that takes the rain water to the alley and drains water into the alley and adjusted grading in the side yard so water would drain away from my house. In addition, did a fall clean up and removed weeds, vines, dying shrubs and crepe myrtle trees in my back yard. Two of my neighbors liked his work on the side yard and sidewalk and asked for his business card. My main comment on improvement would be that Eberardo needs to provide a more complete raking and removing of the fallen leaves when doing a fall cleanup service. He seemed a little rushed at the end of the cleanup. Overall, I will probably hire him again. Thanks! JKR in Richardson, TX
Lowell did a great job installing laminate flooring on a rental home I bought. I needed the laminate floors installed but the flooring company who supplied the materials did not have a crew immediately available. Lowell essentially matched the flooring company's pricing and did a better job than the flooring company who did work for me before. He leveled off the uneven floor spots where foundation repair was done, avoided using T-moldings on the transition to the bedroom door, indented the laminate floors under the stone fireplace and the living room baseboards. Although it is not part of the install service, he volunteered to lend me his hand truck to move out a large freezer out of the house which made moving it much easier. He is a very trustworthy person I would not hesitate recommending and hiring him again!
Covered new fireplace with veneer stone and did an excellent job, will definitely hire John again!
THIS COMPANY DID AN AMAZING JOB ON OUR BATHROOM REMODEL AND JOHN CONROY WAS WITH US EVERY STEP OF THE WAY - FROM TRAVERTINE TILE AND ACCENT CHOICES, (IT'S AMAZING HOW MANY OPTIONS AND STONE VARIATIONS THERE ARE), TO INSTALL AND COMPLETION. HE WAS PATIENT, THOUGHTFUL, DETAIL-ORIENTED, RESPONSIVE, AND ULTIMATELY EXCEEDED ALL OF OUR EXPECTATIONS. I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT OUR NEW BATHROOM LOOKS SO MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN I EVER EXPECTED!!!
Excellent and quick work. Joshua extended a stone patio for me in just a few days.
Great service from start to finish. The folks at Plano Stone provided a prompt and reasonable estimate, met with me to finalize the project details, and quickly got to work. They kept me updated with photos and text messages so there were no surprises. I had a tight schedule so the team worked late nights - while staying on budget. All work was high quality. I would definitely recommend them to other colleagues and consider them for future projects.
My bathroom was really ugly and dysfunctional, with a big hole exposing the plumbing in the bathtub and broken vanity drawers that fell out when opened. After 31 years and being home to a family of 5, it was in dire need of a complete remodel. We had spent two years getting estimates, but they were all so high, we just couldnt afford to have the work done. The companies we contacted offered no options and didnt even seem interested in working on such a small project. Needless to say, I was discouraged. From the minute we walked into Watson Tile and Stone, it was different. We met Patsy and her husband and Angie and Ed. They were friendly and positive. The day, Ed came to our home to measure and give an estimate. I was embarrassed to even show him the bathroom, but he was so reassuring and gave me the opinion that my ideas were achievable and my small bathroom project was important. We found their estimate reasonable, and entered an agreement to have the work done. Two and a half weeks later, I couldnt believe the transformation that had taken place in that bathroom. From the initial tear down, to the last screw put into place, the job was done by professional craftsmen, who took pride in their work, cared about our property and exceeded our expectations. The room is beautiful and I love it. Watson Tile and Stone and their skilled craftsmen delivered exactly what they promised and even more. They did it with the personal touch of people who care. Thank you Patsy and Angie for helping me pick colors, tile and granite and for always responding when I had questions or wanted to add something to the project. Thank you Hosea and Cirilo for the beautiful texture and paint; it really looks nice. The custom cabinets and granite are wonderful and look fantastic. I cant even find words to thank James for all he did throughout the project and even afterwards. He is creative and skilled in so many aspects of his craft, but is outstanding in his attention to detail and customer satisfaction. He and his son, Jacob are a great team. That was last year, July 2010. In October 2011, I called Watson Tile and Stone and asked if they would be interested in doing our other bathroom. They agreed and I told Patsy I wanted it to be just like the first one with the same tile, granite, fixtures and etc. I also asked if the same craftsmen might be available to do the work. Now its finished and decorated and even more beautiful than our first project. No more ugly bathrooms in this house. We had the same level of support and the same professional craftsmen on our second project. We are VERY happy and appreciative customers. Thank you Watson Tile and Stone. Dont be surprised if the phone rings again next year.
Island Stone & Ironworks came out and removed a large pile of concrete. They were on time, on budget, and very easy to work with. I'd recommand this company to anyone. Thank you again!
C&R did multiple tasks from tile setting to placing major support for my patio roof. All tasks were performed with the utmost of professionalism. They met all our expectations. Did I mention they also installed two outdoor hand rails and did some stone work and reset our solar panel sysytem? All done well
One of my rental homes recently became vacant so it was the perfect time to care for the house and spruce things up so I could put it back on the market for rent. The immediate need was to clean out the neglected leaders and down spouts so I hired Derrick for the job. Because he was thorough and clean about his work I gave him the same job for all my other rental properties as well as my home. In fact, I have arranged with him to do this service for me yearly on all 5 of my properties. Since the vacant rental also needed the pergola painted I gave this job to Derrick as well. I was impressed with his painting so I gave him the job of painting one of the interior rooms. The walls and ceiling of this room was the original deep red/wine color from when I purchased the house. Derrick did an excellent job and the room is now a pleasing soft beige.. His trim lines were clean and there are no smear marks around or on any of the trim, windows or electrical plates or switches. The following day, he power washed the garage floor and used special detergent to ensure the removal of oil in preparation for painting. He also cut the grass and did some garden work. He is a clean cut, responsible family man with a wife and two young boys. During our conversation, I found him to be quite knowledgeable about interior home construction and patio stone work. Because of the quality of his work he did for me, I am going to use him for some construction inside my residence as well as making a small front yard stone patio. Since I have had the experience of working with many other handymen and contractors, my review for Derrick is a rock solid five stars.
Samuel was very easy to work with and did a great job installing our granite. We love it!!
Set in Stone did an exquisite natural stone fireplace and mantle for us about a year ago. They just finished a gorgeous flagstone patio and walkway for my parents. I would highly recommend them to anyone an everyone. Top quality work from start to finish. The owner, Yancey, is one of the best professionals in the business and he listens to what you want and need no matter what the project. I'm literally trying to find something new for Set in Stone to do for us! My best compliment is my constant referral of them. Well worth calling for an estimate at the very least! :-)

Our customers enjoy peace of mind knowing that we would do it right the first time with an honest approach and cost effective prices. At Plano Stone, we specialize in beautiful flagstone backyards and patios. Are you tired of looking at yellow drought-stricken grass in your backyard? Replace your grass with an attractive flagstone retreat. Enjoy dinner in your new flagstone backyard with your family! We use high-quality, durable, 2-inch-thick Oklahoma flagstone for several reasons. The weight and thickness supports traffic weight without slipping, sliding or fracturing. Don't settle for a 1" or 1.5" flagstone which won't stand up to traffic over time. Our flagstone is installed on a bed of decomposed granite and leveled and finished with sealant.
We do granite and all type of flooring. Other services offered are: * Hardwood * Tile Carpet * Laminate * Vinyl * Custom Cabinets * Back Splash
