ShaDana Jones, Vocalist (R&B/Soul) I’ve been singing since I was 3 years old. I really don’t remember not singing. A few months ago, after I started having difficulty doing the things (vocally) that I had always been able to do, I went to an ENT, Dr. Roger D. Tuggle (ENT) who also referred me to a speech Pathologist …Dr. Sheread. They discovered that I had vocal nodes. I felt horrible because I thought I would have to undergo surgery and it’s not 100% guaranteed that I would be able to sing again. Anyway, Dr. Tuggle prescribed medication, but also told me to see a vocal coach. I discovered Damon K. Clark through a coworker and started taking lessons with him. After studying with Damon for just 2 months, I started to see improvement in my vocal ability. So yesterday I went back to the ENT and speech pathologist for a follow up. Dr. Sheread saw my vocal chords and said, “No need to keep seeing me. Continue to see your voice teacher. She smiled and continued, "I love him. I'm glad you found him." Well, I’m glad I found him too! If I had the money to make Damon K. Clark a Gold or Platinum plaque, it would read “Greatest Vocal Coach”! Take lessons from Damon K. Clark, ya'll. It's so worth the money and the investment in yourself!

I had had a very bad experience the first time I tried to take a lesson from a different teacher and was very discouraged. being in my late 20's I was nervous to begin taking on piano lessons. But after my first lesson with Sophia I found how much she enjoys music as well as I. Now, months later, I am still taking lessons and couldnt be more happy. She challenges you at the same time builds confidence and skills. Lucky to have found her!

Our son had been taking piano lessons for 2 years prior to taking lessons with Phil. He has learned more in this past year than in the two previous years combined. Our son enjoys Phil's sense of humor and teaching style. We are looking forward to another great year! Thank you Phil

Moira is an exceptionally talented musician. I have taken voice lessons with her for just over 3 years. She has taken me from a shaky mezzo to a confident dramatic soprano. She specializes in "fixing" "broken" voices. Before lessons with Moira, I could not sing above the staff line. I now sing high-C. She is amazing! If you want to be the best singer you can be, take lessons with Moira! You won't be disappointed!

My daughter has been a student with AHMA for 2 years now, enrolling her was the BEST decision ever made! Not only has she learned SO much vocally and with her piano skills, but most of all she has also gained SO much self confidence in herself and her talent. In my experience, ALL the teachers from AHMA are 100% invested in your child, they will always give each child their complete attention. I would HIGHLY recommend AHMA to any parent who has a child that loves to sing or is interested in learning an instrument, this is DEFINATELY the place to go.

My son, Eric has been taking lessons from Mariah for the last two years. He had previous classical piano lessons, but wanted to learn Jazz piano. In just a few lessons she taught him enough to pass an audition for Jazz piano at Booker T Washington HS for the Performing Arts. He is presently taking vocal lessons and has taught him ways to increase his vocal range as in how to access the high register of his chest range without straining. I would highly recommend her to someone that is looking for an excellent vocal coach.

I only had the pleasure of working with my boy Larry for a few short months, but in that time he really helped me get my most solid foundation I could, even with a deviated septum! LOL Larry will not only critique you in a positive way, he will show you exactly how to do it because he has been all over the world singing opera. I am a rocker but the principles behind his methods are the same no matter what your genre. I HIGHLY recommend Larry to anyone who is serious about honing your vocals, if you are an experienced vocalist, or if you are just starting off and need someone to show the proper techniques and get you a solid foundation for your music career going forward. Loved working with this guy. YOU DA MAN LARRY!

Dr Susan Carter-Fricks is a wonderfully talented singer and voice coach. Because of her vast singing and performing experience, she brings a highly professional yet personal side to her teaching no matter the students' ages. When I began studying with her in 2013 I was 62 years old and had not had a voice lesson since 1985. She encouraged me and brought out things in my older voice I didn't know were there. I sang difficult music I never dreamed I could. I studied with her for four years and it was an invaluable experience for me. I have also personally seen how she worked with high school and college students' voices and brought them to high vocal quality, encouraging the students to be the best they could be. They earned many State and National awards and scholarships due to her dedication to them. I highly recommend Dr Susan Carter-Fricks. Sharmyn Thompson St. Joseph, MO

I worked with Stan for months and never had a bad experience! From the beginning of our lessons, he was always there to help me learn how to play and also teach me music. Super flexible, very patient, kind, and his teaching style is fantastic. I would recommend Stan for all levels of players. If you are looking for a piano instructor, Stan is the man.

We hired Anthony to teach our 11 yr old daughter how to play the guitar. This is her first instrument. Anthony was a pure delight to work with, was always on time and sometimes even stayed a little over to make sure the lesson(s) were taught. He even helped us find a GOOD guitar for our daughter. Our daughter looked forward to each lesson with Anthony. He even broadened his lessons to include vocal coaching as well. I would highly recommend Anthony for anyone needing a music or vocal coach.

About

Hi, my name is Caleb and I'm a vocal performance graduate from Delta State University and a vocal performance graduate student pursuing my master's at University of North Texas. During my years of study I have taught a wide variety of skill levels including opera, musical theatre, pop, folk, rock, and sacred —which has led me to be a versatile singer/teacher while still providing sufficient instruction for each individual student. Also, during my years study I have worked with great professionals such as Kumiko Shimizu, Elvia Puccinelli, Susan Youens, Roy Howat, Tom Cipullo, Ryland Angel, Liza Stepanova, and I currently study under the infamous Richard Croft. Congratulations on taking an interest to further your musicianship. The hourly rate IS negotiable, but will include instruction in reading music, singing with proper technique, aural skills for intonation improvement, and the list goes on and on. I'm a versatile teacher with much experience in performing and teaching almost every genre of music. This will allow you to run the show as far as which direction you want to pursue as a performer. I'm available to drive to you, but the cost of the lesson will go up if this is the case. However, taking voice lessons will ONLY improve your sound as a singer, and if we agree to work together, I'm positive you'll notice results in no time. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me.

About

My approach to teaching music does not come from boring theory and a process that takes years before you can enjoy what music is about. If you're not actually playing music with your guitar within the first week of starting your lessons, your chances of success are slim and none, so that is our primary goal with beginning guitar. With vocal lessons, if you are not able in real time, to find and start using your God given tools to instantly hear improvement, and over time, sustainable marked dramatic improvement with each passing week, then you have the wrong teacher. If you do not have the natural ability, even with hard work, to accomplish your goal, I will be the first one to let you know. My goal, as an instructor, is NOT to take your money, but to help you find a deeper passion that motivates you to accomplish all your musical goals. Finally, there is a difference between being a good singer that people eventually yawn at when listening to, and a performer that has the ability to "Deliver" music, with all it's passion, captivating the listener with every word and note, allowing them to experience the song from their own point of reference, as it was intended by the writer and composer. That difference is miniscule, but it is noticebly different. My job as an instructor, is to get you to not only notice that difference, but experience it for yourself as the artist, with power, emotion, passion, and conviction, that cannot be denied. I look forward to helping you discover the higher plain of music. It's an investment with the greatest of returns.
