- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I start pricing for new construction plans at $0.50 per square foot. However, all projects are different so I really like to give prices after the initial consultation. That way I have all of the information and can give the customer an accurate price. I have found this to be the best way to go about it and my clients really seem to appreciate the transparency!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First things first is get to know them! I like to establish a clear, open line of communication through a shot phone conversation. Not only do I want to find out about their project but I also want to know a bit about the why behind the project. I feel this helps educate me on their situation so I can make valuable suggestions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the business of designing and developing property for about 15 years. I have formal education as a draftsman and have also previously owned a construction company. This gives me practical application to draw from when helping my clients
