I haven't seen a lot of therapists, but I've seen a few recently. Kathryn is the first that I've felt like I'm really getting my money's worth. She's gifted at digging down to the real issues very quickly and not being afraid to confront them with you and your partner. I'm amazed at what I've learned and the changes made in my marriage in a very short period of time with her. I'd recommend her for both men and women.
Marsha in an incredible listener, which seems like a prerequisite for a psychologist, but she takes it to the next level. After years of working together, she still surprises me when she makes a connection between something I'm struggling with in the present and an experience I've shared with her in the past. Even on days when I arrive without an agenda, I leave with a sense of calm and new insights that I can take back into my life. Marsha brings a sharp, feminist perspective to her work, is always on schedule, easy to book, and keeps plenty of tissues and herbal tea on hand. She even surprises me between visits with articles she has read that she thinks might apply to my problems, a new app she thinks would help me with my anxiety, or a recommendation she heard from another (anonymous) patient for a good fertility doctor. I'd be lost without her and couldn't recommend her more highly.
I feel Angela Hayes is an excellent Life Coach. When my husband and I split up she helped me to realize the things I would need to live on my own like what to get from my husband and the things I would need to set up my own house. When I decided to go back to my husband she helped me decide on the things my husband should do before I went back and made sure I had the support I needed with therapy and doctors when I went back. I would recommend her to anyone who needs help or needs someone in their corner. She was a wonderful asset for me to have.
Kristal is an excellent Therapist. She is understanding and insightful. She did a great job in helping my wife and I in premarital counseling and helping me personally with the loss of my mother.
Paul is an excellent therapist. I felt very safe and comfortable talking with him. I do not find trusting people easy, but Paul was very easy to talk with. I felt listened to and understood - and I never felt judged. I learned a great deal about myself and my relationships.
Melody is an excellent therapist. She has handled my therapy with genuine concern and care, and she provides helpful guidance and feedback so that I can work on developing behaviors that are true to my best self. I trust her to challenge me in healthy ways to break my old habits and thought patterns so that I can live my most fulfilling life.
I am a therapist from out of town. On occasion I have had the need to refer people to therapists in Austin, and I found out about Sean through professional networking. I have received very positive responses from people I have referred to him, and in coordinating care with him, I have found him to be very knowledgable, professional, and responsive. I would definitely refer to this obviously talented therapist.
My experience so far with Vanessa has been awesome. I am 25 and have worked with several therapists over the last 10 years, and I feel like I have gotten more out of my work with Vanessa than I have with all the therapists put together. My toolbox is already full of tools that I can use to improve my overall quality of life. We work over the phone, which is so convenient. Who would've thought? I was weary about it at first, but it really makes no difference. I can talk to her over my lunch hour, and not take a ton of time out of my day to commute, sit in traffic, etc. She has me fill out a series of questions before each conversation, covering the events of the past week, what I would like to improve on, what I accomplished/didn't accomplish, opportunities I have, high points/low points, etc. This is such a good way to prepare for a conversation, especially for someone like me, who tends to forget the past week's events. I can look back in my journal and make sure I covered everything, which allows us to use our time together usefully, versus me trying to remember everything. It gives her a chance to come prepared with insight and a good idea as to what my past week has looked like. Also, this is great to have on hand myself, so I can look back several weeks and see how I've progressed. After our conversation, she will send me a document outlining what we talked about, several suggestions, things to remember, suggestions on routines, etc. Again, for someone who struggles to remember, this is a great tool to have because I reference it ALL THE TIME. I literally carry it around in my purse. Other than than, she is extremely easy to talk to, communicate with, flexible and understanding with scheduling sessions, and she just understands me. She goes above and beyond, never makes me feel like crap, but is such a motivator. She will call me out if I am talking down on myself, especially since self-esteem and positive thinking is so important in being happy/successful in life. I would 100% recommend Vanessa! You will not be disappointed :-)

Dean has been a solid couples therapist for my husband and I. Really helped us stay on track and continue to make progress.
As a fellow therapist, I had the pleasure of working with Dixon Parnell. He is a dedicated therapist who is able to offer a variety of therapeutic approaches to his clients, ranging from structured life skills (DBT, CBT, ACT, mindfulness) to more existential concerns. His professional yet relaxed mannerisms allow him to quickly build rapport with clients. Furthermore, his broad experience as a therapist allows hims to meet his clients where they are at, help them identify core values and goals, and assist clients towards connecting with these values in their daily lives.
Dr. Parsons is a wonderful therapist. She played a big role in helping me sort out some challenges in my life I was going through and I can't thank her enough. I especially liked the CBT techniques she shared with me because they are ideas and exercises you can practice right away to see immediate changes, rather than going through months and months of therapy and feeling like you aren't making progress. I only saw her for about 5 sessions and feel like what I have gained from these sessions will last me a lifetime. I highly recommend her.
I couldn't have been happier with my experience. Setting up my first appt was a breeze and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. An engaging therapist who definitely has a passion for her work.
Elena and I have been working together for 2.5 years and I have made more progress with her than I made with any of my previous therapists. She gives you the tools to adjust your behavior while taking seriously the effects of the environment. While Elena helps you take control of your life, she deeply appreciates the external factors in a way therapists usually don't. She's a very warm and friendly person, and it feels more like you're having a conversation with a highly empathetic friend than your therapist. She also understands the unique challenges that come with being a person of color in the world and deeply appreciates and helps analyze people's experiences related to identity. She also helps one work through those issues and doesn't dismiss them as therapists in my past have. I feel wholly understood by her and recommend her highly for people of all backgrounds to work with.
Sheila is a compassionate therapist. She gives me the time I need to clearly express my experiences. Sheila has also offered me intentional listening, and has helped me process my thoughts and feelings in order for me to reach a peaceful place in my life.
Lori is a warm and caring therapist! She's very empathetic to others' struggles and helps them find solutions. I highly recommend her!

I am a licensed professional counselor with over ten years of experience in working with individuals, especially women, families and groups. Some of the issues I commonly address include anxiety, depression, family-of-origin issues, stress-related illnesses, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, life transitions, and self-awareness and self-concept issues. I have experienced working in schools as well as with families and teens in residential treatment facilities. Some of the issues in which I have experienced were domestic-violence issues, alcohol and drug addiction, parenting, and blended families and divorce issues. I believe that healthy individuals and families seek counseling to remain healthy and to increase their overall satisfaction and contentment in their life. When people have the basics covered, then only do they really have the freedom to move higher on that hierarchy of needs to work on bettering relationships, self-awareness, self-confidence, and self-actualization. When you are ready to begin your own journey, I can help you find your path.
I think my service stands out for two reasons: first, my style in therapy is authentic to who I am in my personal life; and second, my goals in therapy are for us to reach your goals. It is most important my clients feel comfortable with the therapeutic process. It can be intimidating to meet someone new and ask for help with personal and relational issues. I recognize this and believe the therapeutic relationship needs to make the client feel at ease. We will collaborate together to make sure we are on the same page in reaching your desired goals for your relationships. What is important to you is important to me. I do not have my own agenda to fulfill, rather I make your priorities my own in therapy.
