- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour, but there are so many exceptions here. I only charge for the time I'm working for a client, not for driving or every email etc. I pass on my savings to my clients to balance out my fees. It is a win win for us both!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I actually started in the Fashion Industry. My eye for color and balance was equally if to more beneficial in the home design industry. My first project fell into my lap, the client insisted because of my "style". I had a $200,000 budget, had a blast coordinating and accomplishing the whole design plan and I've never looked back.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most clients bring me in to assist them in interior design decisions such as new construction or renovation selections and establishing a color palette. Setting the stage for the furnishings is the most important part of the design process.
