Edited to add: I received a call today from Sabrina, who discussed my concern (original post below) and refunded the price difference because the change occurred so quickly after we resubscribed. I appreciate the resolution; I hope if they have a similar price drop situation in the future they will proactively develop a policy to take care of current customers to save everyone some frustration. Overall, based on the outcome of this experience, we will probably continue with Malek in the future.We have gotten good service from them, but had a disappointing experience with their total protection plan. When we subscribed to it two years ago, it came in levels, and we subscribed at the silver level for $150 annually. When it came time to renew, suddenly there were no levels - the only option was $250 annually. We hesitated, but the addition of plumbing and electrical inspections ultimately seemed worth it, and they had done good work for us. This was in August. Fast forward to today, when I was on their website to schedule our fall HVAC maintenance. I noticed they were advertising their total protection plan for...$150 annually. I gave them a call to see if any sort of refund was possible, since were only two months into our subscription. I would have been fine with prorated, since I was told this was a very recent change. I was placed on hold for a while, and then informed that nothing can be done. So were receiving the same service as a customer who subscribes today, but for 67% more money. Thats some Suddenlink-level disrespect for existing customers. We will likely not resubscribe next year.Oct 15, 2020Review from Google

Michael Alvarado is professional and detail about his work. I highly recommend him and the company if you need your HVAC fixed.One caution: the company advertising about the monthly fee that include $0 diagnostic fee. It doesnt include level 2: in component isolation diagnostic fee which could cause you a fortune without getting anything fixed ($357 - the customer service was excellent: they refunded the amount charge when they found out the job was mistakenly done without prior consent approval).Make sure you ask the technician to differentiate and break down the diagnostic level before you approve the technician to proceed to avoid any confusion.Nov 1, 2020Review from GoogleMalek Service Company's reply
