Swimming has been a fun activity I always wanted to do but I felt very uncomfortable any time I was near a pool. This summer, however, learning how to swim was on top of my priority list and Thomas was there to change my perspective I see the water. From the very first lesson, the focus was on the mechanics and strength building. He can really focus on you and determine what skill you need to build and in what order. With only two swimming lessons completed, I already feel the confidence and the motivation to continue. Thomas demonstrates safe and very effective teaching techniques that are very easy to grasp and follow. As a beginner of any sort of swimming, I perceive Thomas to be an outstanding swimming instructor and a fine professional to work with. I've been training with Uriel (Woody) for close to 2 years now. He is one of the best Muay Thai coaches/fighters in Houston. His classes are high intensity and provide you with fundamental Muay Thai techniques. So not only do you sweat your butt off but you also learn proper Muay Thai at the same time. Muay Thai is an awesome combat sport and Woody incorporates his training routine as a fighter into his classes. So with Woody, you basically train like a Muay Thai fighter. And there's no better workout than a fighter's workout, especially one where you learn how to punch, kick, elbow, and knee! Woody is super cool, patient, and funny. I've been taking lessons in kung fu from Paolo for over the last 7 months and I have to say that it's been an incredible experience. Paolo is an excellent teacher, combining over a decade of knowledge and practice with the desire and ability to teach others. I cannot say enough about how good of a teacher Paolo is; unlike some teachers you might encounter, Paolo is patient, provides motivation without being a "drill sergeant" and is very good at identifying what his students need to take them past their plateaus. I consider myself very lucky to have Paolo as my teacher.
I enjoy doing yoga, but I don't like all the religious things that go along with it. Brandon offers yoga lesson without any of that. He also showed me some new poses that really work well. I have been working with him for the past 2 months.
The owner, the instructors, the more intimate class size leads to an environment conducive to developing quickly within the discipline and general fitness. It's a place you will be pushed out of your comfort zone, the ambience is that of a typical nascent martial arts gym on the come up. If you want fancy and flashy, look elsewhere. If you want to take your training seriously and get the attention from small class sizes and you are willing to give your hardest effort, I believe this is the place to progress quickly and intelligently. The intellectual capital and sum of experience available amongst the instructors is commensurate with any high level gym and the humility and welcoming atmosphere exceeds them.

Krav Maga was cultivated in Czechoslovakia and Hungary by Imi Lichtenfeld ("Imi Sde-Or" in Hebrew) in the 1930s. Imi was already a champion boxer, gymnast and wrestler, first taught his fighting system in Bratislava to assist in protecting the Jewish community from Nazi militia. Upon arriving in Palestine, Imi started to teach hand-to-hand combat to the Haganah, the Jewish underground army. When the State of Israel was established in 1948, Imi became Physical Fitness and Krav Maga's Chief Instructor at the School of Combat Fitness of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). He served in the IDF for around 20 years, during which time he continuously refined and developed his hand-to-hand.
