FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For me, it is more about the parties, the dispute, and getting to an ultimate, mutually beneficial agreement. Whatever that takes, as long as it takes, I am committed to the parties, and to excellence. Our pricing reflects accordingly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
**** Important. BEFORE I can discuss any situation, ALL THE PARTIES must have agreed beforehand that they are willing to attend mediation**** Please speak with your spouse or the other party in the dispute and make sure they are willing to go forward with mediation. Once all parties have agreed that mediation is the best option, I will converse with each person separately to get a sense of their point of view. Once I have spoken to everyone and have a firm grasp of the issues, we begin the mediation process. Reaching a quality outcome and preserving the underlying relationships often requires us to look back at the relationship, how it started, and how the parties have gotten to where they are. It is premature in my opinion to dive into problem-solving without first talking through the history and contextual elements that shape the dispute.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduate degree from Creighton University School of Law, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Course. I have been negotiating and resolving disputes since 2007. Although I have been trained as a negotiator and mediator, conflict resolution is my passion and purpose.
