Private Self Defense Lessons
Mr. Harris (Doc) is just what I was looking for to learn self defense in the real world! He has many many years of training and can show someone like me a condensed version of what really matters--how to protect myself and escape for help as it pertains to different situations in which you might need to defend yourself or someone else. From the first day I started training with him I have learned something new and mind blowing which doesn't even require a bunch of muscle, hence, a female being able to flee from a larger male. I had zero experience so beginners have no fear! I am starting to gain more confidence all while getting in shape. He always has homework for me to do so if I am not learning something or getting better it's on me! He is very patient, and he has helped to teach me to be patient, a downright awesome instructor who is an EXPERT in what he teaches, and I would honestly look no where else for instruction with self-defense, focus, and getting in shape/physical training.Jul 1, 2019VerifiedCuervo Combatives's reply
Thank you, Jenny, for the kind review. It is my passion to provide my students and fellow citizens instruction that is relevant and easily consumed by the mind in order to prepare them for potential strife, both mental and physical. Keep up the good work.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Your first 3 sessions are FREE! That is a $195 value. My fees of $65 per 1 hour session are based on the years (38+) and experiential, hands-on application of my skills during those years. I have used my skills in life and death situations...therefore I know these skills work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Initial interview, questions from both parties, brief explanation of what and how I teach, and short hands-on session to SHOW how, and some of what I teach.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have over 38 years of experience in my field. My most recent certification was as a Tactical Combatives Instructor for the U.S. Army. I also studied the Special Forces L.I.N.E.S. combatives system from 2002 to 2006, with various Master L.I.N.E.S. instructors, and the founder of the system, Mr. Ron Donvito, at his Yadkin Road school when he was still close to Fort Bragg, NC. I have further background from other law enforcement and civilian instructors, all which began far back in 1981.
