The Musical Improvisation and Song-Writers Club NW

Introduction: My website is an amalgam of the music I have made, so just consider it a portfolio of sorts! I want to focus on helping others be able to jam with any band at any time but just as well. Any level of musicianship and style is welcome as well as any age. I'm certified in theory, so you will learn the same things every real musician out there knows. I do group lessons for a decreased price, and my past theory taught myself mostly everything I know. I also have books that I can loan out for learning but only if students can put a security deposit (the cost of the book) in while they use it. Experience: I was classically trained on piano for 14 years (I feel old.) but have only two years of real lessons. I am classically trained on double bass and cello for nine years but have seven years of lessons within an orchestra made up of some of the most accomplished musicians I'll ever know. (Thank you, Shack.) I taught myself on guitar for eight years. I really thought two more strings wouldn't be so hard from bass, and it really isn't. Finding your own style is, though! I have had experience in production and live techniques within digital audio workstations for four years. I mostly picked up bits and pieces and started with using sampling until I realized how much respect that brought me to lose within the electronic community. I mostly use FL Studio, which a lot of people shoot down, but really as a musician, it is not the instrument that makes the player; it is the player that makes the instrument. I have very little experience with Reason, Ableton, Cubase, or Pro Tools and the like, but I do get general concepts of production and sound which they all use. I just want so many others to feel the way I do after writing a piece. It's like knowing that no matter what happens to you physically to tear things apart, a part of you that truly reflects you inside and out with no ability to be falsified or fabricated will always live on and potentially help those in the same ways music has for me so many times before.
