Deb staged my house at 16518 Darby House St, Cypress TX 77429. I thought staging was going to be directing where to put some furniture - I was very wrong... Deb was brought paintings, vases, furniture, and a lot more - she worked day after day breaking a real sweat - I was genuinely amazed at how hard she worked and how good the house looked when we listed it. The house sold in 3 days! The first offer was above what I was hoping to negotiate to for the sale! My only disappointment was that I didn't hire Deb to stage my house when I bought it so I could have lived with the work she did while I lived in my home! There where other houses in my area that where comparable that are still on the market - Deb was the difference in helping me get more than I wanted fast.Feb 19, 2015
Debra Sierakowski dba Decorate and Company is the absolute best! Debra puts genuine passion into her services. She is willing to work with whatever scenario you have: use your existing items, help you declutter, and then will bring in very attractive accents or she can stage a vacant home. Her DIY knowledge is extraordinary. Beyond being immensely talented at staging, she can provide solutions to many problems - even brings a car full of products to repair, touch up, etc. I would definitely hire Debra again!Feb 18, 2015VerifiedDebra S.'s reply
Thank you so much Beth! We had a great time staging your home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Yes. I am still a part of the Home Staging Resources Group whom I received my certification from. They continuously have new information about trends, statistics, new training materials, videos with valuable information to watch and support for my business as a whole. I am also a part of ASHSR (American Society of Home Stagers and Redesigners) where I network with other people in the field of Home Staging and Redesign. And I am also a part of RESA (Real Estate Staging Association) which is also a wealth of information for continuing education in my field of work. I have attended national and regional RESA conferences.
- How did you get started doing this type of work? After working in Corporate American for many, many years, and helping family and friends with decorating, I decided to quit my job and pursue my dream of somehow working with interior design. I decided to get my Certification in Home Staging and Redesign. I have loved interior design since I was about 10 years old. Decorating my bedroom, moving the furniture around in the house and learning to sew at that age so I could make my own pillows for my bed. I'm not sure they were the best in the world, but I thought I had created a masterpiece. I still make pillow covers today, which turn out to be much better than they were back then. I Love what I do and work hard to make every room I work on look as beautiful as it possibly can.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Home Staging, occupied, vacant and model homes. Shopping for items to stage homes, Consultation for staging your own home.
