DFW Business Consulting
About this pro
I feel very confident beginning my work with Mark. He is knowledgeable and thorough, and his willingness to make a house call on short notice made the whole process so much easier. By all means, hire him!Aug 11, 2018Verified
Mark has done more than I could have expected in very few hours. I would Recommend DFW Business Consulting to anyone who has had other book keepers that CLAIM they do a great job. His results far out weigh the others. Thank you for Everything!!Aug 25, 2017Verified
Mark has been fantastic. I get hives at the thought of Taxes and the IRS and so contacting Mark and hiring him was a great decision. Not only did he have the expertise and professional guidance to help me with my 1099 filing, he also helped my son do his taxes too. Mark traveled to our location to meet us and went over what we needed to do. I appreciate all of his hard work and help getting our 2016 taxes done.Apr 25, 2017Verified
Mark's willingness to travel to my house on a Saturday made the meeting to discuss and file my individual tax return very convenient. He showed up on time, and spent a few hours making sure we had covered everything in order to maximize my federal return. Even though I live in Texas, I work for a company in California so I have to also file CA state taxes. Mark has experience with filing CA taxes and was able to file my out of state return for me as well. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Mark is thorough, and easy to work with. Highly recommended.Mar 22, 2017Verified

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I offer an initial consulting meeting where I have the client describe the services that they need and then try to expand the conversation by inquiring about other related services and needs. I want to make sure that ALL of the client's needs are satisfied, as I believe I offer a complete range of services. The most important aspect of the initial meeting is to ask the right questions and establish the customer's needs. I make sure that I answer all of the questions that the client has and make sure that there is a "plan of attack" to meet all of the client's goals, deadlines, or tasks before concluding the meeting.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have two Bachelor degrees and two Master's Degrees. I have a degree in Business (Accounting focus) and I am involved in continuing education classes in several areas including nonprofit issues, payroll law, etc. I have a certification in dispute resolution (mediation) so I take certain seminars or classes in that area as well.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have been interested in accounting ever since I was in junior high and helped my mother keep the books for our Chevrolet dealership. By the time I was in high school, I was responsible for making all of the financial reports to Chevrolet Motor Division and to local lenders. Later studied accounting while at SMU and I have been doing accounting ever since.
