- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Every client has different needs and circumstances. It's best if we talk so I can tailor a program to fit. If I can work with more than one student at a time, my rate is reduced.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? My first session includes 5-10 minutes to talk about any past experiences with a tutor, the student's goals, and the student's challenges. How can I help? If you would like, we can meet for a longer period, a first lesson perhaps, to determine if we are a good fit.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Bachelor of Art in English & Secondary Education. My degree is from the University of Wisconsin system where the teacher training program is virtually a 2nd major. The entire degree takes 5 years full-time. Tutor training from Kaplan University has provided me with strategies for getting through a particular test (ACT, ISEE, GRE, SAT) with the best possible outcome. These strategies are known as backsolving, number picking, etc.
