FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Due to projects being so different, we base the pricing on the scope of the project therefore we cannot give pricing over the phone. We have done flat fees, hourly, percentage of the construction cost (new constriction), price per square foot, lump sum, or any combination of these; discussing all the work is how I determine fees.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically like to do a phone interview to gain a complete understanding of the project, it makes establishing a fee easier; this is also the time to discuss timelines. Then we can set up a time to meet, I will have a contract or letter of agreement to sign, and we can get started.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My degree is an advanced technical degree in interior design (equivalent to a bachelor's degree) which allows me to be a registered interior designer in Arkansas and Texas; being registered also comes with the requirement to meet continuing education to keep my registration. Codes, and trends, all change. I also can sign and seal drawings needed to submit to a city for a building permit if your project requires it.
