FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I usually do 18 to 24 hours per year of continuing education. All lawyers are required to have 12 hours of continuing legal education per year.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
On the way home from a hunting trip in the pan handle, my father was arrested when I was 15 years old. My brothers and I were in the car. I was awake when the officer pulled us over. I saw the police officer be very disrespectful with my father. And, I heard my father pleading with him to not treat him so badly in front of his sons. I heard that same police officer lie to his commanding officer at the station about how my father was falling down, passed out drunk. He blew in the machine and was not intoxicated, but they held him over night regardless. The next day, they let him out but they wanted to confiscate our rifles. The sheriff from my home town called and told the city police that they had no right to keep the rifles.
