DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!I hired Powers IoT to install a Nest outdoor camera requiring wiring to be installed through the attic and a doorbell camera. I made it clear in the beginning of what my intentions were for the outdoor install. The tech showed up with his preteen son wearing a sports blazer. Rain was expected that day and he needed to work in the attic, first impression did not exude confidence that he was going to complete the job looking like he was dressed for wine tasting. Ok, whatever as long as he gets the job done. Should have gone with my instincts, because a few minutes after entering the attic he was no longer in the attic but he didn't remove himself by the exit. No, he decided to put his whole weight with both feet on the drywall. Physics dictates that the drywall will lose everytime. Needless to say, he fell completely through my ceiling onto my staircase banister.Aftermath resembled a war zone with debris everywhere and a mansized hole in my ceiling. Wanted to chew him out for being a complete Darwin Awards candidate but couldn't because I needed to go help him instead. Don't forget, his kid is there watching this happen. Yeah, the fun just now begins. This company is not equipped to handle emergencies. They do not have an emergency contact # and I couldn't get a hold of a live person. I was able to make contact with my home insurance and Nest for advice but not Powers IoT. Even the injured tech only had the generic call # without access to anyone in case of an emergency. I left messages and sent pics to their website email. This incident occurred around noon and I sent pics to them immediately. They finally responded via email by 8pm that night and their response was that they would send someone out the next day to take inventory of the damages.A few days later I was speaking with the owner. I made it clear that I expected them to hire the appropriate contractors and take care of the damages. I also wanted them to finish the installation of both cameras and comp the install fee. Sounds reasonable considering the damages incurred to my home.Wrong. Next day I get a call from their insurance adjuster declaring that I needed to take care of the damages and they would reimburse me. I missed over 40 hours of work to hire a drywall contractor, painter and carpet cleaner, took over a month to fix and had the eye sore present for my daughter's graduation party. How much is that worth? Only the bare minimum for what it cost to repair the damages and not a penny more.My time was not considered because I chose to have their idiot fall through my ceiling inflicting thousands of dollars of damages.Oh yeah, they also made me pay for the install. This is a piece of **** company.Heed my warning from the beginning. AVOID THIS COMPANY or play Russian roulette and take your chances with my experience.Aug 8, 2019Review from Google
Zero stars would be the appropriate rating. No show for two confirmed appointments. This company is a joke.Sep 2, 2019Review from Google
Great company! Even in an older home, the tech found solutions for installing the full range of nest products.Sep 7, 2019Review from GooglePowers Energy Solutions's reply
