I don't know what I would have done without Chris. The amount of pride that he takes in his work is unrivaled by any other contractor I've had work on my house and he truly is a man of his word which is impossible to find. I had him build two solid wood cabinets in two of my bathrooms that were both built into recesses in the wall left behind by another contractor that did horrible work and left them very out of square and made the space a complete eye sore. Chris ended up doing a great job of building the cabinets from scrap and put a ton of thought into how to trim things out to give the illusion of everything looking square which worked out great. The guy is primarily an artist and it shows in all his work as he's always taking into consideration what the final product will look like and how he can make it as appealing as possible while also being functional. He also built wood shelving for a few closets and did a bunch of punch out work to help fix the the other contractors' screw ups and did a great job with that as well. He really ended up being quite the renaissance man when it came to working on the house. When I was looking for a handyman I had quite a few come by due to bad experiences in the past and the reason I went with Chris was because every time I showed him something screwy that I thought would be a pain to fix he'd just say that there was a solution for everything and we'd figure it out, and that he did. And while his pricing may be on the higher end, that's because you get what you pay for as I have painfully discovered after having my house entirely remodeled. Chris is one of those rare people who will do whatever he needs to make certain that his final work looks the best that it can and be of high quality even if that means having to scrap an idea that wasn't working out after putting hours of work into it or if working more meticulously with hand tools is called for in order to make sure things come out correctly. I'm so glad I have finally finished all the projects in my house as it's been a long and painful process and there were a lot projects that I didn't think could be fixed in an aesthetically pleasing way but Chris thankfully proved me wrong. If I ever need anything done again he would be the first on my mind.

We hired Christopher to build a wooden chest and paid him one-half the cost up front. He seemed very nice at first and initially told us he would have the chest ready in a couple of days, after the upcoming weekend. When it was not delivered at that time and we tried to check on the progress, it became very difficult to get an update or a response from Chris. When he did communicate with us, he repeatedly promised the finished product in the next few days, etc. About five weeks after we hired him, we ultimately had to tell him that if he did not deliver the finished product by a date certain, he should simply not plan to complete it. He again promised the product that afternoon or the next morning, but did not deliver it then. The next day, he said he would have it ready the following morning, and did not care whether we accepted it or not. Early on the last morning, he told us he had a narrow window of time to deliver the product to us, and we would be required to provide him with cash at that time. We advised Chris that we did not have that amount of cash on hand, and would talk later in the morning to figure out whether we would be able to get to the bank and back in time with the cash to meet his limited time window. At that point, Chris decided he did not wish to complete the transaction, so we did not receive the product and are out the money we paid up front. All in all, it was not a positive experience.

Amazing work! And not only that, he came to pick up what we needed to get done & delivered it to our front door. Seriously one of the best finds on Thumbtack!

I hired Chris in May 2015 to replace a broken interior door frame with custom molding. Chris was professional in his work and his pricing was very reasonable given the considerations. Chris went out of his way more than once to complete the job –including traveling 45 min away to gather necessary supplies. Chris was prompt in his communication regarding the job and considerate of permissible work times in my home. I rate Chris highly due to his professionalism and his proficiency in completing carpentry-related jobs.

Excellent work and communication, even with materials suppliers making things crazy, persisted and delivered. Highly recommend, would use again.
