Network Support Services

Reached out to Vick for help with home network. Specifically I needed to utilize my Ethernet through several access points to lower number of devices using wireless. I already had the equipment for this. Besides that, I needed help with cleaning up our multiple networks since we had extenders and to make sure all (or most) of our devices were working back as normal. Lastly I needed helping getting a software filter I had purchased applied to our router. Vick estimated the job to take 3 hours and said even if it went longer he would make sure we completed the tasks. The good: • Vick and his associate were friendly and I think, generally speaking, wanted to get everything worked out and make sure I was satisfied. • They do seem to know the ins and outs of home networking. • Hardworking - willing to get their “hands dirty” and work hard. • (Foreshadowing) They refunded a portion of my costs when they realized I was not satisfied. Actually they offered to refund all but they did do some work so I didn’t feel that was equitable. The bad: • Left at 3 hours and didn’t get the whole job done. The WiFi extenders not working. The Ethernet, while the switch installed and wired for ~10 jacks, only had 3 access points. What good is wiring without Ethernet jacks? • Vick would text my phone late at night. Also generally speaking, delayed responses. • At the payment was made via Zelle, Vick continued to insist the payment hadn’t gone through. I sent confirmations. He still said it was in our end, so I checked with my bank. All good, so finally after days of this, he finally realized it was an error/issue his end. • Vick’s English is conversational but there are some limitations on how effective he communicates. The ugly: • Although we discussed them coming back out to finish the job instead of refund and even set tentative days, they did not come (they never fully confirmed either but said they would). • Several times in our “communication” I felt Vick was overly defensive, borderline argumentative/rude. As a person and maybe even a technician, I really respect Vick and hoops the best for him and his business, but as a professional he needs to work on setting expectations and communication.

Phillip from Vick Audio came to my home and arrived early. There was an issue with a component so we arranged for a new one. He came back when the new component came in (he arrived early again) and made sure everything was set up properly and that I understood how to work things before he left.

    Our prices are competitive and we also offer discounts from time to time. We offer the best prices in the town with top notch fully trained staff.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    For any job, our estimator will visit the job place, calculate all the equipments and man hours needed to do the job and then we send quotation to the customer. These all the services are free of cost and customer can stop the process at any time. Once the customers approves our quotation we start working at the project.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Our staff is highly trained and skilled for respective brands and technologies. At the end of the job, our technical supervisor confirms the completion of job according to industry standards.
