ShaDana Jones, Vocalist (R&B/Soul) Ive been singing since I was 3 years old. I really dont remember not singing. A few months ago, after I started having difficulty doing the things (vocally) that I had always been able to do, I went to an ENT, Dr. Roger D. Tuggle (ENT) who also referred me to a speech Pathologist Dr. Sheread. They discovered that I had vocal nodes. I felt horrible because I thought I would have to undergo surgery and its not 100% guaranteed that I would be able to sing again. Anyway, Dr. Tuggle prescribed medication, but also told me to see a vocal coach. I discovered Damon K. Clark through a coworker and started taking lessons with him. After studying with Damon for just 2 months, I started to see improvement in my vocal ability. So yesterday I went back to the ENT and speech pathologist for a follow up. Dr. Sheread saw my vocal chords and said, No need to keep seeing me. Continue to see your voice teacher. She smiled and continued, "I love him. I'm glad you found him." Well, Im glad I found him too! If I had the money to make Damon K. Clark a Gold or Platinum plaque, it would read Greatest Vocal Coach! Take lessons from Damon K. Clark, ya'll. It's so worth the money and the investment in yourself!
I have been taking voice lessons from Mrs. Petri for the last 9 years and there is no one better. Even in college, when I had other voice instructors, I would keep coming back to her. She really pushes you to be your best self and doesn't coddle you like other teachers tend to. Not only that, but she really cares about you as a person and as a professional. I could not recommend her more!
I had the pleasure of learning music theory and Piano fundamentals from Sophia and I could not have chosen a better person. She helped me learn to read music from scratch, and simplified the learning experience with great techniques, which definitely helped me pick up music fast. II would 100% recommend Sophia to anyone who's looking to improve or begin their piano lessons. Also, Sophia's delightful humor and flexibility in offering make-up classes are bonus. Sophia, I wish you all the very best and thank you for your efforts in helping me begin my journey ! You're the best! Vivek
Michelle is awesome she has really helped me in every aspect as an artist. Her way of explaining music theory is very understandable. She has helped me with my breathing techniques, my vocals and my song writing. She has really gone above and beyond for me! If your interested in singing lessons Michelle is definitely they one to go to!
Singing lessons. Heavenly sounds is very professional..
Keke is a phenomenal vocal coach. I went to her with almost no confidence in my voice. Not only did she give me tools to strengthen my vocals, she also gave me life/spiritual lessons. With the help of her vocal training I was cast in five musicals in 3 months! She's AMAZING!
I had no idea what I was getting into. Seriously.. I went to Phil expecting to learn the same old stuff any voice coach will teach you.. most of which can be found on youtube. But I was pleasantly surprised. Phil understands singing on a level that just blows my mind. But he doesn't overwhelm you with his knowledge, he simply meets you where you are. So if you are serious about singing or even just a beginner, I can't imagine finding a more qualified & effective teacher in the Dallas area.
Moira is an exceptionally talented musician. I have taken voice lessons with her for just over 3 years. She has taken me from a shaky mezzo to a confident dramatic soprano. She specializes in "fixing" "broken" voices. Before lessons with Moira, I could not sing above the staff line. I now sing high-C. She is amazing! If you want to be the best singer you can be, take lessons with Moira! You won't be disappointed!
I have nothing but positive things to say about Ms. Miller. She truly cares about her work and her students, above and beyond what is required of her as a voice teacher. She genuinely works for the well-being of her students, both inside and outside of lessons, and does an excellent job at instructing her students individually and personally on how to become the best musicians they can be and to grow from wherever they're at.
Had my first singing lesson ever this past weekend my instructor was great he knew exactly what I needed. I am extremely excited to go back and learn to sing better and not strain anymore.
My granddaughter, Barbara started her first piano lesson two weeks ago and simply loves it. The owner, Heather is extremely nice, patient and professional. I am expecting great results from this wonder company.
Pat Brown is a most dedicated teacher to all of her students. I had a few voice lessons in college, but I did not improve very much. Having always been the accompanist, I was ready to learn how to sing, and Pat taught me so well that I was ready to go out and teach privately myself after 4 years of lessons with her. In all I took lessons from Pat for about 12 years. She has the experience and education that anyone would want in a voice and piano teacher.
My husband and I signed up for voice lessons with Edward approximately 7 months ago, after a lifetime of singing in choirs and for personal enjoyment, but without any professional coaching. Our objective was to improve our singing ability, gain better breath control, and expand our range. From the first lesson we were "hooked" by Edward's approach, enthusiasm, encouragement, and technique. We have seen steady progress, and have learned more in 7 months of weekly lessons than we both have over decades of singing! As busy professionals (ages 55 & 60) it has been hard to maintain a schedule of lessons and find the time to practice, but the sheer enjoyment of it has been so personally rewarding that we keep working at it, with Edward right there offering constant guidance and support. He has stretched us to go beyond what we thought we could achieve, and although we're not professionals on stage with our name in lights, we marvel at the improvement in our singing ability. Most importantly, Edward has given us back what we had both lost - a love for singing. He is truly a gifted teacher, with a warm and gracious personality to go with it. You will love working with him, and no matter what your level of singing ability is (from "none" to professional level) he will bring out the best natural voice in you that you never knew you had! We cannot recommend Edward highly enough.
Prof. Snyder is one of my favorite coach i had in Indiana University South Bend. He touch me so much , made me understand music in a different way, made me love how to conduct . He is an amazing person an amazing musician, and an amazing coach! I never forget his lessons . and i am so thankful that i met him .
I would highly recommend Theodore Rulfs, as he is an outstanding voice teacher! I am an older singer, and I am extremely grateful for his expertise, professionalism, and support. I am now able to significantly improve my middle voice register, which is often difficult for a soprano. Ted is amazingly knowledgeable about the details of voice production! He patiently imparts major concepts of how to sing with lyrical, beautiful tones, and most voice teachers are clueless about the art and science of beautiful heart-felt singing. The lessons are truly exceptional !! Sue F.
My son, Eric has been taking lessons from Mariah for the last two years. He had previous classical piano lessons, but wanted to learn Jazz piano. In just a few lessons she taught him enough to pass an audition for Jazz piano at Booker T Washington HS for the Performing Arts. He is presently taking vocal lessons and has taught him ways to increase his vocal range as in how to access the high register of his chest range without straining. I would highly recommend her to someone that is looking for an excellent vocal coach.
Gary does an excellent job of creating a relaxed and constructive teaching environment. His explanations are precise, and does a wonderful job of rephrasing his admonitions to help the individual understand. He's got a great background of experience to divulge with his students, and his instruction creates immediate results. More than pleased! Gary's lessons are exactly what I was looking for.
I only had the pleasure of working with my boy Larry for a few short months, but in that time he really helped me get my most solid foundation I could, even with a deviated septum! LOL Larry will not only critique you in a positive way, he will show you exactly how to do it because he has been all over the world singing opera. I am a rocker but the principles behind his methods are the same no matter what your genre. I HIGHLY recommend Larry to anyone who is serious about honing your vocals, if you are an experienced vocalist, or if you are just starting off and need someone to show the proper techniques and get you a solid foundation for your music career going forward. Loved working with this guy. YOU DA MAN LARRY!
Dr Susan Carter-Fricks is a wonderfully talented singer and voice coach. Because of her vast singing and performing experience, she brings a highly professional yet personal side to her teaching no matter the students' ages. When I began studying with her in 2013 I was 62 years old and had not had a voice lesson since 1985. She encouraged me and brought out things in my older voice I didn't know were there. I sang difficult music I never dreamed I could. I studied with her for four years and it was an invaluable experience for me. I have also personally seen how she worked with high school and college students' voices and brought them to high vocal quality, encouraging the students to be the best they could be. They earned many State and National awards and scholarships due to her dedication to them. I highly recommend Dr Susan Carter-Fricks. Sharmyn Thompson St. Joseph, MO
I worked with Stan for months and never had a bad experience! From the beginning of our lessons, he was always there to help me learn how to play and also teach me music. Super flexible, very patient, kind, and his teaching style is fantastic. I would recommend Stan for all levels of players. If you are looking for a piano instructor, Stan is the man.
I took guitar and ukelele lessons from Austin for two years. I really enjoyed my time with him, and was able to progress really quickly to playing and singing on the church band!
