- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a travel expense of fifty cents per mile. Any extra editing such as body retouching done, (think professional level face tune), editing out background eyesores, or horse handler and leadrope erasing costs 5 dollars per Image and will usually take an additional 7-10 days after the request has been made to finish.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First and foremost I would love to see samples of what you had in mind! Show me pinterest or instagram images that depict the look you're going for. If you have any questions about what to wear or what to bring feel free to ask! Before I begin the shoot, I'll send you an invoice for 50% of the total cost. this deposit is to lock in your time slot. you can reschedule but the deposit is non refundable. Then I begin working on editing your photos. You can expect to recieve the chosen edited images in 2 weeks with sneak peeks on my social media accounts as I work on them. The proofs are uploaded onto a online gallery where you can request changes. Once changes are made and approved by you, and after the second half of the invoice is paid, I will enable you to order prints and download the medium resolution digitals for free.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began photography in order to capture reference photos for my oil paintings and instead loved the images and the process so much I kept at it! As a buisness I started out taking sale photo and videos of horses for online advertising, and branched out into horse portraits, and lastly am dipping my toe into human portraits! Equine photography will forever be my main focus and passion, but I love it when I can prove people wrong- about not being photogenic!
