Introduction: After almost thirty years of working for other people I've decided to try working for myself. For the past decade I have been the maintenance supervisor at a large apartment complex. I was the honor graduate of my Journeyman Electrician training program and was a plumber and pipe fitter in the US Navy.

Garbage Disposal Repair

He responded quickly, and we scheduled the appointment for the following day. He arrived on time, was professional, and was j7st an overall nice person. He not only repaired my garbage disposal, but he also made sure to give me helpful tips and information about my garbage disposal, and gave me several troubleshooting steps to try in the future before calling a repairman.

Sink or Faucet Repair

We reached out to Jim to change out a kitchen sink. Out of all the contractors that we reached out to, Jim was very responsive and helpful in determining what issues we were having. When it comes to plumbing issues, time is of the essence - and Jim delivered. This is the first time we had a repair man in our home since COVID and we were nervous. Jim showed up with a mask and complied with all the CDC requirements. After the repair was done, Jim did not leave a mess in the area he was working at. I strongly recommend using his services in the future. Jim was fast, transparent with his pricing, and really nice. Thanks Jim!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My standard price is $30 an hour, but I have to charge at least $50 per service call in order to make it worthwhile. Any parts or materials not provided by the customer will be added to the cost of the job. For particularly long or complex jobs I prefer to negotiate a flat fee with the customer rather than charge by the hour.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

In addition to my military training and certification, I was the honor graduate of the Journeyman Electrician program at El Paso Community College.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been interested in building and repairing things since I was a child. I worked in the mechanical field while in the Navy and became a certified journeyman plumber and pipe fitter.
