Introduction: My name is Mariela Díaz, owner of Inspiring Spaces. I am a fully certified KonMari (Marie Kondo) Consultant in the El Paso/Las Cruces/Juarez region. We are a full-service business whose mission is to create systems designed to improve your home/office spaces. Every project receives conscientious attention to detail in order to achieve an inspiring space. We work along the side of our clients to declutter their spaces and then we design and organize for them. We arrive to the home/office with all the necessary organization products for our clients convenience.

Mariela with Inspiring Spaces recently helped me declutter and organize my guest bedroom and craft room turned storage room. She did an amazing job and was so wonderful to work with! I was anxious about letting a stranger into my home but she put me at ease immediately. It felt like I was working with a friend. If you have any decluttering or organizing needs in your home, hire her immediately! I highly recommend Mariela. The peace she brought to my home and life is worth more than money!

As our children have grown from toddlers to school children, their interests and playroom needs have evolved, as well. We asked Mariela Diaz-Porras of Inspiring Spaces to help us walk the kids through the decluttering process and then reorganize the playroom in a way that was more accessible for them and which they could maintain on their own.
Mariela was so lovely with the kids—gentle, funny, and really attentive to what we decided to prioritize. She is patient, deliberate, and even made it educational with some bilingual chat! The kids were proud to let go of toys they had outgrown or didn’t connect with anymore and thrilled to find things they’d forgotten about or hadn’t been able to access in some time. It was all very painless.
Mariela brought many organizing options and gave her educated opinion about how to best use certain spaces. She was an advocate for our vision, and we never felt bulldozed or as if she was imposing her design on us. She even encouraged our daughter to make her own labels for her play kitchen, which Mariela then laminated and applied to the kitchen. The kids’ involvement in the decluttering and organizing has allowed them to feel ownership and responsibility for the system in place now. It makes sense to the kids, to us, as parents, and will be easy for all of us to maintain.
From start to finish, Mariela was communicative, timely in her responses, and flexible (as we had to reschedule a couple of dates due to 2 cases of the flu!). In all, this was a wonderful experience, and we are already assessing what part of the house we’d like to have her help with next!

I am a kindergarten classroom teacher who never got around to organizing my books all my years of teaching due to lack of time. Thank you Mariela Diaz, owner of Inspiring Places, for finding the perfect bins for my books and for decluttering and organizing them for me by category. I love the cute labels you put on each bin as well!!

Mariel will quickly identify your necessities and resolve present storage inefficiency’s. She helped organice my kitchen, kids closet and bathrooms. After here support I felt less stressed and more organized.
