FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of our clients are pet owners who do not want to take their pets to a kennel or impose on neighbors. We first send a sitter who lives in the client's neighborhood (usually within 5 miles at the most), the sitter meets with the client (at no cost or obligation to the client), and if the match is good, the pet sitter comes back during the dates the client is traveling and follows the pets' routine as closely as possible, so that the pet stays in his/her familiar surroundings, is being loved and cared for, and often doesn't even miss his/her parents since the pet sitter spends all of her attention making sure that the pet(s) are happy and healthy.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Interview more than one provider. As a pet parent myself, I am very particular about who is going to take care of my 4-legged baby. I want to make sure the pet sitter lives close by and doesn't have to fight traffic coming to me. I also want to make sure that my pet sitter is a pet owner himself or herself. And last but not least, I want to make sure there is a good feeling and chemistry between my pet and my sitter, so that I have no worries when I am gone. I want to enjoy my vacation and not worry about my home and my pets. Select your sitter carefully, check references and credentials, and make sure they are bonded and insured. And trust your gut feeling - it will never let you down.
