FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing listed on Thumbtack may not be 100% accurate. Thumbtack's listing options are limited, so every quote given for each job will be on an individual basis. Don't worry! You won't be surprised by the cost difference (if there is one) between the final cost and the initial listing. For more precise pricing, just ask. This mostly involves travel and specificities about your needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each step of the process is simple. 1) we establish your needs and the details of your session. 2) we establish a contract and you get an invoice 3) The client pays half of the invoice to officialize the booking, and the other half on the day of the event 4) We take some pictures! 5) When your pictures are ready, you get access to an online client gallery where you can view and download your images at full resolution.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
To be honest, I have no formal training when it comes to photography. I just picked up a camera, read some books, binged a lot of YouTube videos and articles, and trained my eye for the past 7 years. The best photographers I know never went to a formal school, so in my opinion, it's quite unnecessary.
