I contacted the owner on Sunday and he was really quick to respond. A technician came out Tuesday evening and sprayed the house. The tech was very nice and did a thorough job. The next day I found a few dead bugs which is a good sign. Found another one recently but again it was dead. So far very satisfied with the results. I would definitely recommend!

The service was really good, John reached out to me asking for the details about the issue and agreed to send in somebody the same day. James was on time and sprayed all over the area. The bugs were reduced to almost none after the first spray but some bad ones showed up a couple days after. I contacted John once again and he did a follow up at the 14th day from the first service and sparyed the area once again. Hopefully the bugs shouldn't be showing up but I'll update after couple days on whether there were any left at all.

I chatted with John within 10 minutes of requesting service on thumbtack and was able to schedule an appointment as soon as the next day if needed. James came by 9 and was in and out within 30 minutes and was friendly. I would recommend this company due to their prompt service and the ease of getting a quote and not having to do an evaluation first.

The person who I made an appointment with relied right away, willing to send someone on the same day, knowledgeable, very nice, answer all my questions in a timely, professional manner. I will give him 5 out 5! The person who did the work is knowledgeable, polite, patient, and a good listener. I would give him 5 out 5 too. For overall experience I gave 4 out 5 only because now I want to see the process and end result( if any) before I can really tell that yes, it worked and they did their job as they promised. Great company! I had a rodent problem that I needed someone to take care of for me. John was on the spot and came out very quickly. Once he got here I explained what I thought were the problems. John was quick to climb in the attic and find that I had more than just one rodent. Being as I have small children and pets, I had lots of questions as to what he was going to be putting in the attic and such. John was very helpful and answered all my questions. He explained everything in great detail as to what he was doing and how he was going to do it. Even belter was that everything was going to be safe for the little kids and pets. He even patched the holes and showed me everything he was doing. Any questions I had, he answered in a very professional manner and in great detail. I knew everything that was going on and why. I will not use another pest control company and will tell everyone I know about him. Very honest and upfront about everything. Even though the price was more than he quoted me, he was very upfront about why and how much. Great person to work with! Great job Eco-Guard and John!

At the end of November, I "hired" John Alazone aka "Eco-Guard" for a rodent removal job at two of my four rental properties on Thumbtack. His price quoted was $125 here on Thumbtack. He came out and took a look only one side and said that it was $300 total for both sides since he would have to go in the attics to patch the entry points there as well as the inside. I agreed. He began to tell me that he was also a landlord for over 10 years and that he suggested I get on a routine pest control service. I was hesitant about it and said I would think about it. He said that he usually charges $1000 for this but would perform everything for $700 if I could give cash to help him save on his taxes. He also said he would add a one time pest control service for my mother as a courtesy since he was sure I would be a great referral source. I decided to move forward and give $324.75 via my credit card and $400.00 via a check. After throwing a few bait nuggets into 1 attic, he said he would return tomorrow. He also said he needed to make sure that the funds cleared and kept asking if they would. At this point I should have listened to my gut but I pushed it back since I am going through a rough patch in my life and proceeded forward. John returned the next day and I asked if he would complete the job today, he said no, I will only put bait in the 2nd attic and can't do anything else today since his other worker had the truck with the equipment. After this day, he continued to provide excuses as to why he couldn't perform the remaining work. ie. weather was bad, his water pump went out on his truck, the equipment was not in etc. I decided to not move forward with anything and asked for a refund. John magically was able to come "right now" instead of the new rescheduled date. I told him that I declined and was tired of the many excuses. At this point, he became forceful and said he would not give any amount of refund, that if was not fair and that he was a small business man and that I should understand that. I still declined and asked for a refund, however to be fair, he should keep the initial $125 bid so that could pay for his trip charges and refund the $600.25 for work that he HAS NOT completed. John then offered to give only $300 and that his trip charge was now $350 (he left a message on my voicemail saying this). At this point, I told John aka Eco-Guard that this was not a negotiable manner, this is business and no one gets paid for work that has not been performed. To date, I have not heard from John or his company. However, I decided to write this review to prevent anyone else from hiring this company and going through this. I have also contacted Thumbtack to get him removed from this site, the department of Agriculture in Austin and also seeking legal counsel not only to receive my refund from this company but also for my tenants who have small kids with health problems and are unaware of the chemicals that were used and never followed up on. I have also sent all messages etc. to everyone to prove the validity of this issue. Being that said, I am still very hopeful that I will be contacted by this company Eco-Guard to rectify this issue. It is quite sad that a "company" would put themselves at such a great risk for an issue that is very black and white. If a service is not fully performed , the company should not expect to keep the full payment. Disclaimer : I have ALL messages and voice mails to prove everything in this review and will have no problem posting them!!!!

Eco-Guard Pest Services provides a bottom of the line basic service. They simply come out and spray.They don't move anything,not much helpful advice before or after the service.The most important thing when providing a bed bug service is that you have to get bedbug covers for every bed and bed bug catcher trays to sit the legs of any bed furniture that they may be able to crawl up. After letting Eco-Guard spray we continued to see bed bugs and get bit up to a week later.Finally called Orkin and got the real service.Bed bugs left when Orkin left.That is the kind of service customers are looking for.I am very disappointed that Eco-Guard pest services caused me to have to double pay.Oh and he claimed that it was 450 because he would have to take all beds apart.He didn't take anything apart or move anything.

Jonny is a nice person. Day before appointment, I called him to confirm the job description. He still kept the same price of $125.00. he came, was little late because of traffic. He did fix the problem. He promised to come back to check out after three days. I asked him specifically to call me before coming. He didn't come. This is the reason why I am giving 3 Stars.

They sprayed for Bed Bugs with a super chemical that kills the eggs too. There was a few bugs that lived after the first spraying. I called after 14 days and the man came back and sprayed where I saw the bugs. I will be telling my friends to use them if they have bugs.

Bought bait boxes and 3 baitings. The first visit was on-time and he was courteous. The boxes and bait had to be ordered and that took a few days. In the meantime set up the old standard snap traps. The 2nd baiting of the boxes came a couple days past the date I was expecting, so not too bad. The 3rd baiting, I had to call to remind him to come out. He came soon after the call, though. All in all, I got what I paid for and it alleviated the problem. He was good, but could have been better, so a middle-of-the-road 3 stars.

Treatment for spiders, ants, & rats. They came out the next day & so far I'm very pleased with their service.

The people were really friendly and respectful, however only a few days after they finished their service, I started to see a good amount of spiders and other crawly bugs in the house. When I called the company back and spoke with them about this he said he would come back to re-service the house, but I haven't heard from them since. And that was about a week ago.

Let me tell you, when I realized that my home had bed bugs, I was completely overwhelmed! I called the big name exterminating companies because I just wanted them gone! I couldn't believe the quotes at close to $2000. That's when I got on Thumbtack. I received several offers, and decided to go with Eco-Guard after speaking with the owner of the company. Even though his quote was slightly higher (about $100) than several of the other quotes I received, I just didn't have the confidence in companies with only a few reviews. Many of the companies offered 1 follow up visit included in the price, but Eco-Guard gave me a 6 month guarantee. And, Eco-Guard was the only company that told me about the chemicals they use and how it also kills the eggs. John gave me detailed instructions about how to prepare my home for the treatment and then came out the next morning. He took the time going through each room in my home checking for signs of bed bugs and then treating them. I haven't seen any since he left, and am confident that we are rid of the problem. Excellent customer service and a job well done!

We ordered service to address problems of Roaches and Fleas, for a 3000-sf rental property, inside and yard, around July 28, 2016. The initial service was prompt, but the length of the service took only half an hour, which is kind of short to me, I was not on site, just thinking spraying a 3000 sf house plus 4~5000 sf yard took only 30 minutes to complete is kind too fast. I hesitated giving review, and now I'm giving 3-star rating because the follow-up treatment has not been performed (over three weeks since the initial treatment), and I don't know if it will be performed. If it's performed and we/tenant confirmed everything is taken care of, I'll be more than happy to give a 5-star review.

Initial response was fast...next day. Plus, they even were willing to come late, which allowed me to keep my work schedule. I was pleased. I was only seeking for one outside area of my house to be treated. After 20 days, the pest was back. I asked them to come back out under warranty...they claimed they did while I was at work. But the pest did not stop. I asked them to come a third time; they said they did. There was no reduction of the pest. Now, I am not sure if they came; or if their technique simply does not work. Either way, I'm out my money and coordination time...I've got to hire someone new. All professionals reading this...at least leave an on-site card if you come out again, to provide instant veracity in the eyes of the customer.

I have carpenter ants - the company came out and treated and promised a second application in a week AND a 90 day warranty on the ants - well I've called and called and spoken to John over and over and he promises to come out .... Then he just doesn't. The ants are back and now I'm going to have o pay ANOTHER Company to come out. Terrible terrible TERRIBLE customer service!!!!! Would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!!

Got rid of my yellow jackets that were around a large tree in my front yard. He came back and resprayed at my request a day or two after the initial treatment. Nice warranty if the wasps come back this summer. Reasonable price! I will use him for other insects when needed.

The tech showed up 1.5 hours early without any notification. I noticed, after he left, that there were drops of the fluid on my hardwood floor in the office. Looked around and then noticed it was everywhere the tech walked. I don't see any negative effect on the carpet thus far. I've sent two emails and left two voice messages for the company to please contact me as there are still ants where the problem area originally existed. I have yet to hear from the company. I was told by the tech that they would return if I still had issues after a couple of weeks. I wonder if they will contact me now that I have posted this review....

Eco-Guard arrived when scheduled. However the technician claimed he did not realize we had carpenter ants. In my job submission to Thumbtack that was the only reason I stated for needing a pest control service . At any rate he was not prepared to deal with carpenter ants on this visit. He squirted some poison up in the holes he could see and said he would send his asst next day. She showed up on time time but was only there to spray the house for general pest control. Two weeks later the ants were worse than before. So we called again and after a few days another asst arrived and sprayed the area again. I mentioned to him that I found out through my own research and talking to other professionals, outside bating was only effective way to get rid of these pest . He called his boss right then and told him what I said . He said he would be out to bate the ants . That was ten days ago . I haven't heard from Eco -Guard since.

I had them treat my home inside/outside for all pests due to a water bug issue. Afterwards I probably saw about 10 or so waterbugs but they were dead and in the last 2 weeks I have not seen anymore. I am very happy with the treatment they did. They were unable to treat outside due to rain and they told me they would come back to do it and I didn't need to be there and I'm sure they did but they didn't tell me when they did. Overall I am happy and would use them again.

When they first came out, they used 1/2 of an ounce of chemical for my whole 4 bedroom house - that's it! I called 5 times for 60 warranty reservicing after seeing roaches not gone and they NEVER came. Didn't return my calls and when he did he gave me excuses why he couldn't come. Don't believe the 60 warranty BS. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING OR TO ANYONE. TERRIBLE OVERALL EXPERIENCE. Sorry, John, but it's the TRUTH.

My grandmother had bedbugs in her little 1 bedroom house and was charged >$1200. My parents had bedbugs and the exterminators they used has to come back about every 2 weeks for 3-4 months. Eco-guard got the job done in our 2300 sq ft house in one shot and less than half of what my grandmother paid! I would deforest recommend them! We are 7 months post-treatment and NO signs of them! And they were BAD!

When I first called, Mr. Anzalone was very helpful. He even agreed to split the fee into two payments for me. Scheduling a session was a hassle though. He sent a different guy out, and when I called because the guy had no-showed (without calling!), j wa told that he got lost looking for the address because "he's not familiar with Dallas," so he went back to the office. How unprofessional! When I finally got a second treatment scheduled, it was not nearly as thorough as the first one. In the beginning, I was told that we would need 3-4 treatments, so I kept calling after that to have the other treatments done. I believe that I was given the run-around because the company had already been paid in full. When u did get in touch with someone and tried to explain what was going on, she said, "Well although your warranty is up, I'll go ahead and send someone out anyway, okay?" Are you kidding me?! How can my warranty be up when my service wasn't completed?!!! Just thinking about this ordeal has me livid all over again. The moral of this story: if you don't live in Fort Worth, you probably shouldn't waste your time or money with these people.

I give Eco-guard Pest Services 5 stars overall and would recommend them because the ants that had taken up residence in my kitchen are all gone. Before John Anzalone got rid of them I had the worst infestation I've ever had, and I'm thrilled that I am not seeing a single ant now. Another plus, I didn't have to pay an unreasonable price or sign some lengthy contract to get the job done. (I have friends who have paid much more for the same results.) There was a bit of a disconnect between him and the person who sometimes takes his calls, but I can overlook that because John is honest, does what he says he'll do, and does a good job. I would definitely hire him again.

I paid $200 for a two visit treatment 3 months ago. Never got the second. Can not get ahold of company now or a call back. Bait gel from first treatment was left in many visible areas and never dissolved.

John sent his very nice assistant and son and they were great! Very helpful answering questions and helping me remove many bags I had in the house that needed to be placed in my garage. Looks like our bed bugs were confined to a sofa however I had them treat all rooms as a precation. I am very pleased with my experience and John was also very helpful in answering all my questions. I would highly recommend Eco Guard. I was told I have a 6mon warranty and if anymore are found they will retreat areas at no additional charge.

The time given for the guy to show up was between 2pm and 4pm. At 4:30pm I texted the owner to ask if the technician was coming and he said he was running late and would be at my house in 30 minutes. A phone call would have been nice from the technician to say he was running late.

John came out same day to rid my flower bed of a mole that apparently was delivered with some top soil. While he was here I also had him take care of the ant problem I was having. Very happy with his service.

We were battling mud daubers that were infesting our home. I received a quote through some Thumb acknowledge after I had ridiculous quotes from other companies. although John was out of town and it was Saturday , he sent David on Sunday because I was desperate for help. I could not have asked for a more pleasant and thorough job. I highly recommend this company and in the future will use them for all my problems concerning pests.I will also refer any one of my friends or family to them!!

John is a nice guy and easy to work with. However, I hired specifically to get rid of ants in my yard and home. I have not seen any in my home, but there are still plenty in my yard. Will have to call him back.

As awsome as John is, I didn't want to prematurely post a rating. My daughter had bed bugs in her room and John and his trainee came out the next morning. John answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable with the process. Within the first 3 days after the treatment, we saw Very few bugs. Now it is going on 2 weeks and still nothing!!! John contacted me immediately after I requested estimates on Thumbtack. We talked about my problem with ants and set a time the following day. He arrived as promised and quickly determined that they were acrobat ants. I was impressed with his knowledge and expertise and the very reasonable estimate to do the work. He treated the entire exterior of my house with a pesticide that he assured me would not harm my dogs. He was courteous and efficient, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would definitely use him again and will recommend him to others.

John and his team did an excellent job with our extermination. When I called him, he quickly quoted me, and then made my case a priority due to fact that I have a 2 year old. He was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He didn't give our job a generic treatment, but came out to access exactly what was needed for us, bit too much or too little. I highly recommend him!

This a follow up review. My previous review was a very negative one. It was geared at one of John's former technicians. John personally came to my home this morning to make things right. He was extremely apologetic and explained to me what changes he had made. He first and foremost and very concerned about my cats, John removed the bait traps his former technician left me. Stopped by the next morning on extremely short notice to help me out with my wasp issue. He sprayed the next morning and even threw in some ant bait. I haven't seen any ants or wasps since the treatment.

WOW!!! I called at 6 am and he was here by 11:30 am same day. He was very professional. He explained all he was doing along with what chemicals he was using. He also said if I had any problems he woukd come back. 6 month warranty and a 1 month check uP. My terrible experience with bed bugs is all behind thank you...

He forgot what we paid for, did not bring all the supplies needed. But he did make several trips back to our home to complete what we paid for.

very friendly- told me everything we needed to do to get ready for the bed bug issue. we had a bad infestation and now I can actually sit in my home and not worry as much. thank you for helping get rid of these bugs. it has literally been a nightmare- now I can sleep a little better. If you are looking for a good pest control person that doesn't cost an arm and a leg the John is the person to call. he even does interior and exterior treatment of other type bugs.

John anzalone was very professional. He has been back to check on his job, which was getting rid of some pests in the attic. The problem seems to be resolved. There is still one more visit that he will make before the job is complete. He has called to schedule an appointment.
