We were thrilled with the professional work of Dalton Photography. Rick was asked to photograph not only myself, but our Horned Dorset sheep for various media publicity. The pictures were so nice it was difficult to choose the best set. Rick is meticulous with his work and very creative. He spent hours on our ranch as we moved from one setting to the next. I would highly recommend his services to anyone who is looking for both traditional and non-traditional photos. You won't be disappointed. I've included two of my favorite shots taken during the shoot.

So much fun at your ranch. Was a pleasure to meet you all (including the dogs and sheep). Special thanks for the dinner gift.

    About this pro

Many of my clients will say such things as, "You really captured the event (wedding, business event, etc) without us hardly knowing that you were there." Others have complimented me with such words as, "You have an amazing eye". Or, "Wow, your use of lighting, composition, and color harmony is so powerful, yet so natural", but they will usually see a difference in quality and style. It probably started in my early career as a news photographer for a major daily newspaper. Competition was fierce. I learned to look at the obvious, but go beyond that as well. Trying to see each job as a new challenge, even though I may have done work in that location, for that client for many years. Unique light? Unique angle? Unique pose? After 20+ years of full-time photography for companies like: Bell Helicopter, ESPN, DFW airport, USMD, XTO, as well as over 400 weddings, you learn to think quickly, and find solutions to issues before they become problems. I try to listen, make sure that I totally understand exactly what each client wants, then, exceed the clients expectations. The amazing people I've met. The challenge of creating images in a less than great location.
