I am passionate about working with students to help create the internal space to transform their own lives. Yoga can be adapted to suit any body's needs, including being done in a chair. And whatever mental health symptoms are holding you back, the breath and the body can be used to access your true capacity for joy and peace while bypassing the story. I will guide you through methods to take off the mat to ground, embody, soothe, uplift, calm, and focus. Wherever you are in your journey, I am here to help you cultivate a healthier, happier, more peaceful life.
I am a 500 hour yoga and meditation instructor who specializes in improving mental health outcomes besides the well-known aspects of yoga. I am trauma-informed yoga certified have also studied adaptive/chair yoga and yin yoga. I am currently continuing to study arm balances and inversions, kundalini yoga, and mindfulness meditation. I use traditional and clinically tested movement, breathwork and meditation practices to address symptoms of common ailments, both physical and psychological. Methods used include vinyasa flow, hatha, yin, restorative, pranayama, yoga nidra, mindfulness, vipassana meditation, progressive relaxation, and guided imagery.
I first practiced yoga 22 years ago and it transformed my own life. I have been meditating and practicing mindfulness ever since, and I love sharing the gift of increasing your own personal capacity for joy and inner peace.
