I had movers no show on me and had to book last minute on Thumbtack. CRDR was the first to call. They came within an hour and got to work immediately. They were fast, extremely nice and will definitely recommend them in the future!

Overall, very good experience. One of the movers didn't speak English so I couldn't tell him where things needed to go. Hence, it all ended up in one room. The screws to attach our mirror to the dresser are gone. No one knows what happened to them and we haven't found them. Not sure how we're going to accomplish this. The crew leader was very good. Positive and prompt. He made sure everything was done correctly and took care to ensure our goods were moved carefully. Thankfully nothing was broken.

These movers are great! Saved me last minute when a company I found on Craigslist cancelled. If it wasn't for them I would've had to pay an extra night for my apt and miss work. Great service, movers were poliet, respectful. Overall great experience

Cleaning Angels did a great job cleaning my house after our house move. Even though we still had some items in the house and movers there, they worked around them and did an awesome job! Super nice and professional! I would hire again! Thank you!

Mr. Shields came to my rescue when my previous movers cancelled after 7pm the day before my move! He was reasonably priced, on time, and helpful the entire time. He reassured me that he would take care of my move and he did flawlessly! They were even kind when my girls decided to help (and were in the way). I cannot tell you how blessed I feel to have found this company. I will NEVER use anyone else again. Honest, kind, trustworthy, and dedicated! God bless you and your company for coming to my rescue! This is a company that provides perfection in moving services!

This was my second time using their service for a home cleaning, and once again they exceeded my expectations. Adrienne and Gil showed up early for the scheduled appointment time and were very friendly as well as very accommodating as to what needed to be done. Not only did they go above and beyond on the cleaning, but they got up stains that a previous provider was not able to get up. Its clear that they take pride in their work and the results show proof of this. I plan to always contact them for their cleaning services. I can't express how grateful I am for their services in such a short turnaround. My home literally sparkled and smelled magnificent!

I had Mary D's cleaning service come help us with our move out cleaning. The ladies were wonderful! They even worked around us since the movers ran late and there was repair work being done. They did an amazing job, even cleaned behind the washer and dryer and inside as well as behind the oven and fridge. The house looked brand new when they were done. I will for sure hire them again when our new home is built to help me with deep cleanings. Also they are trustworthy... the reason i have never hired a cleaning service before is because im wierd about people in my home but they found 20 dollars behind the washer and came outside and brought it to me and said they had found it. You cant beat honest, reliable service like that!

Unfortunately, this poor woman did not actually clean my place. She couldn't clean the place because my movers had not finished moving the contents of my 2BR/1 BA apt in order for her to clean it. She bid me based on the house being empty. I am giving her 5 stars because of her follow-up and communication and her willingness to shuffle around her schedule to accommodate me. But my landlord had it cleaned by his cleaning company. Her price was excellent and I would recommend her to anyone who wants to deal with a good communicator who is on time and thorough

Great company. This is our 2nd time using One World Van Lines. Friendly staff, great pricing. Did require a “shuttle service” at delivery, but access to the lot was very tight, so it was understandable and reasonable to work out. Movers were on time and gentle with our belongings. They caught our attention on dings and scratches on furniture that were there before placing them in the moving truck. Wrapped electronics carefully. Very friendly all in all. Will definitely be using them again and referring them to all my friends that are moving.

My movers just left and requested a review as quickly as possible. I assured them that I would provide then with a 10 out of 5 star rating. Most importantly, the young men were respectful to my husband and I. I am 67 years old so I was on the young men from start to finish - making sure they were respectful of my belongings and home. They wrapped all of my furniture and assisting with packing items that were not packed upon their arrival. I did notice a small hole in the wall at the pick up address. Tight corners so I did not complain. But I did want them to know that I noticed. Other than that, my belongings arrived in great shape. I will recommend to my friend Margaret who will be moving in about 2 weeks. I informed her to request Mark and Stephen. Thanks again for your hard work. Spend your tip wisely.

We were scheduled for a move with another mover who backed out on us during the busiest month. We were scheduled to go from Missouri to New York. Rose answered our Thumbtack request and helped within hours, by the next morning next morning we had everything finalized. We booked within 24 hours had a full pack move and 3 days later we had peace of mind within 5 days from day of being packed the truck arrived. The crew came out to pack us and I was very worried that something would go wrong. The foreman Mario was beyond wonderful with the 5 other guys. We were fully packed loaded in two days. (it was a long two days but it was done). Our estimate was just about 98% on. Mimi called to set our delivery schedule and Rose kept us updated throughout the 5 days on where the truck was, when to expect them to arrive in Upstate New York. Our move was about 1300 miles and I have to say, it is not every day a company returns calls at 11:00 pm at night when you realize a tractor trailer will not be able to access the street to deliver. Rose called us back within 15 minutes and said she would make sure it was taken care of before delivery at 10:am in the morning. We had 17,000 pounds plus moved and NOT one item damaged. If anyone has questions message me. My husband is a Attorney with nothing but praise. Thank you all for a Happy Move!

The movers at AmerApex Moving could not have done a better job moving our belongings over 2,000 miles away. The crew was on time, polite, very careful, and kept the move fun and in good spirits. Nothing was damaged and the price did not budge a penny. Thank you again for making my move across country stress free. I will be recommending AmerApex Moving to all my friends and family!

I liked everything about this moving service. Their front office handled the order smoothly and with courtesy; the movers were punctual, courteous, efficient, careful with the items being moved, and very professional. I selected this company because of the very positive user feedback on the internet. I also highly recommend this company.

        What do moving companies do?

Moving companies provide a range of services to help you physically move out of one residence and move into a new place. But moving companies can do so much more than just haul your belongings across town in a truck. The national average for moving company prices ($250-$350 per hour) reflects the range of services provided. Here are examples of all the ways moving companies can help:

        • Packing: Moving companies can pack your belongings for you. They typically charge a flat rate for both the box and the labor to pack the box. The more time-consuming the belongings are to pack, the higher the cost per box. For example, books could be $5 per box, linens $10 per box, and fine china and glassware $18 per box.
        • Specialty moving: Safely move a baby grand piano, a oversize aquarium, or other specialty items with the help of pro movers.
        • Storage: Many moving companies can store your belongings while you wait for a new home to be remodeled or closing of your new home to be finalized. If you’re moving long-distance, they often provide short-term storage free for a specific length of time, and a set rate after that (such as $60 per square cubic foot of storage space used).
        • Long-distance moves: No need to rent a trailer and move your things; a long-distance moving company can haul your belongings across the country for you. Typically they charge by the cubic foot for moves, with prices based on your destination.
        • Unpacking: Moving companies can even unpack your belongings for you after they have moved them. This is not as common, and will definitely increase the price, but can be helpful if you’re not able to tackle this task yourself.

How much does a moving company charge per hour?

When you’re ready to make a major move, it’s time to research moving companies’ prices. A moving company may charge on average anywhere between $25 and $100 per hour, per worker, for moving services. The price will vary with regional labor rates, local cost to do business, and the level of service the movers are providing. Nationally, the average hourly rate for a moving company is $250-$350 per hour. This price includes a range of pricing, from all-in service with four or more movers on site to standard hourly rates for one or two movers. Other factors that affect moving companies’ prices are packing, stairs (or elevators), and distance. For a full-service move, you pay movers to pack your belongings for you. You may pay for the cost of the moving boxes and an hourly rate per worker, and there may be additional charges for packing fragile items. Stairs will also add to your moving prices. Lifting and carrying boxes and furniture up and down stairs takes more time and creates more physical labor for the workers. Moving companies may charge flat rates for flights of stairs, such as $50-$70 per flight. A moving company may also charge a one-time fee for moving things via elevator, such as $75-$100. If parking is not accessible in front of your home or apartment building, there may also be an additional fee for the added distance to carry your belongings to the truck.

How much does it cost for long-distance movers?

Long-distance movers transport your belongings across the country for you. No more renting a trailer and road-tripping from state to state with your entire house hitched to your bumper. Long-distance movers make the move happen so you can fly to your new home, suitcase in hand, and wait for your furniture to arrive. Nationally, the average price range for long-distance movers is $1,490-$2,230. The distance you are moving and the number of cubic feet the movers have to transport will both affect cost. Another factor in long-distance moving costs is whether you choose to pay for an exclusive move or a consolidated move.

In an exclusive move, which is more expensive, your belongings are the only cargo on the moving truck. The movers travel directly to your new house and deliver your belongings on a scheduled day. A consolidated move is more affordable because the movers transport your belongings along with those of other people, saving them time and gas — which means you save money. The downside is that your belongings typically arrive with a two-week delivery window rather than on a prescheduled day. Read reviews to make sure you can trust the company with your possessions to ensure a peaceful moving process.

How much does it cost to move a one-bedroom apartment across the country?

Professional movers can handle the hard work of moving your one-bedroom apartment across the country for you. You can determine what your move will cost by learning the rate your movers charge per cubic foot and how they factor distance into the total cost. Cross-country movers typically charge based on your belongings rather than apartment size because that determines how much work they will have to do. For example, a studio apartment that is crammed full of things will take more work and moving truck space than the contents of a three-bedroom apartment with very little furniture.

Cross-country movers may also have varying rates, depending on where in the country you are moving. For example, a company may charge $5 per cubic foot for consolidated moves along the East Coast and $6 per cubic foot for consolidated moves from the East Coast to the central states or the West Coast. A one-bedroom apartment costs approximately $1,500 to move across the country.

How much does it cost to move across the country?

The national average cost for hiring cross-country movers is $1,490-$2,220. A number of factors can affect the cost. One factor is the distance you want to move. For example, an East Coast-based moving company may charge $5 per cubic foot for consolidated moves along the East Coast and $6 per cubic foot for consolidated moves from the East Coast to the central states or the West Coast. Another factor is how many belongings you have. Most cross-country movers charge by the cubic foot.

The type of move you want is another consideration in cost. You can have your belongings moved exclusively and delivered on a set day, or you can opt for a consolidated move, which is less expensive. In a consolidated move your belongings are stored and transported with the goods of other customers who are moving to your general vicinity during the same general time frame as you. Your belongings should arrive within a one- to two-week window, rather than on a set day. If you want the cross-country movers to pack your belongings for you, the cost will also increase.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
