Faye is an awesome tutor! She helped me write my personal statement essay for the optometry school application process. We worked on 2 essays and completed both in a matter of one and a half weeks. She is very flexible and was ready to work with my hectic schedule. She is very sincere and it is clear she enjoys her line of work. I personally love my essays, because I wrote them. I one-hundred percent believe in my story depicted in my personal statement. Faye isn't like other tutors, where she will output an essay after a consultation; rather, she works with you to make sure the story is coming from within. Faye is especially useful in that she has an interview process to get out all the ideas from the writer, and helps to translate that into a written answer. I thoroughly enjoyed and definitely benefited from her consultation services, and would highly recommend her!

Ms. Smith is the ultimate writing guru! She wrote the perfect resume and most persuasive cover letter for me as I look to transition into a management role. Several recruiters have already contacted me to say my resume was impressive and schedule interviews! A former coworker referred her to me after his delightful experience with her services and now I too am very happy! Now I'll need her to do resumes for my two grown sons so they can leave my house!

Will is one of the best freelance writers I've ever dealt with. He's extraordinarily bright, and he's willing to do the research to write about any subject imaginable. He also has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of most subjects already. His prose is clear and interesting. He meets deadlines. You won't find a better freelancer at a more reasonable rate anywhere on the Internet.

I can help my clients take an idea and bring it to life with words. It's not making something out of nothing (although that can happen) but helping others share their work and initiatives in words. My work allows me to use my talents and do something that I'd like to do all day: writing, editing and telling stories comes naturally to me.

All businesses, big or small, need expert written content for each project whether it's B2B writing, white papers, reports, and website content. I also love to write newspaper and magazine articles, This is a partnership with success written all over it...when you make the right connections. I AM that connection and my track record is proof.. You need constant content updates on your websites, social media, and other published content but can't afford to hire a full-time person and the expense that would demand? I'm your answer. Don't take my word for it, read what clients have said on my website.

I am usually able to quickly grasp the need behind a client's request. For example, letters or documents accepting a position or requesting additional information or verification, are all similar documents. But each of these deserves a different format, and voice tailored to the specific client. Each client is different and important in their own right. I enjoy anticipating what each new client will ask of me and the manner in which they will require their assignment to be fulfilled.

Because we've been doing it a long time and have outstanding professional backgrounds from highly respected organizations - some of the largest corporations and the finest small businesses have hired us to communicate their value. We're good at it. That's always nice, in any profession. The way we came up with our name is that we would consistently hear, "well, we hired a writer but they didn't get it." My response? You didn't hire a good writer. We enjoy what we do, have been doing it a long time, and we get it. If you think about it, writers create something from nothing. We've given birth to businesses, effectively positioned leaders, and increased sales. How can you not enjoy doing that?

How do you hire a good grant writer?

Grants are available to nonprofit organizations, for-profit businesses that qualify for government grants, and individuals who qualify for foundation or government grants. Hiring a good grant writer can help you gain funding in your chosen field. According to the American Grant Writers’ Association, grant writers can help you research potential grant opportunities; write grant proposals, create budgets, and build budget narratives; review written materials before you submit; prepare a business plan; analyze your organization for grant competitive qualities; prepare research grants; help with 501(c)(3) applications for nonprofits; and more. Investing in the right grant writer could result in a financial win for your organization. Generally no licenses or certificates are required to be a good grant writer, but you may want to find a grant writer who has been certified (not just received a certificate of completion) by a reputable organization such as the Grant Professionals Certification Institute. Qualities to look for in a good grant writer include:

          • Proven success writing winning grants, especially in your target area.
          • Strong writing skills.
          • Strong math skills and demonstrated proficiency with budgeting.
          • Careful attention to detail — brilliant grant proposals may be rejected just for formatting errors, so you want someone who follows instructions explicitly.
          • Expertise in your target area.
          • Punctuality and good communication skills.

How much does a grant writer cost?

Hiring a grant writer can give you a competitive edge when applying for financial grants for your business or nonprofit organization, or as an individual. The cost to hire a grant writer can vary depending on their academic background, areas of expertise, previous grant writing success and years of experience. According to the Grant Professionals Association, grant writers should be paid hourly or by flat fee. It is unethical for a grant writer to accept a commission or percentage compensation of grant monies received. They can, however, be awarded bonuses in line with the hiring company’s prevailing practices. Here are some examples of average grant writing fees:

          • Hourly rate for grant writers with less experience or fewer grants awarded: $25-$35 per hour.
          • Hourly rate for grant writers with some degree of success: $35-$75 per hour.
          • Hourly rate for grant writers with proven success winning large grants: $75-$150 or more per hour.
          • For a smaller grant, the writer may charge a flat fee of $200-$500 for preparation and submission.

Pricing may also vary based on the complexity of the grant application. A federal grant that requires pages of research, budgets and a business plan may take more than 30 hours to prepare. For a high-level grant writer who charges $100 per hour, this means $3,000 or more in grant writing fees.

Most grant writers will provide you with a total cost estimate before agreeing to the work. You may be required to pay a deposit up front, or the grant writer may work from a retainer. Often, seasoned grant writers pay for themselves in the long run by writing successful grants.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
