While Theresa is a very trusted friend and sister in Christ, she also a very loving and gifted person. She's like an artistic painter only she uses a camera and the person or people, surrounding nature and/or objects are her canvas. She has that natural ability to imagine the perfect scenery and capture some of the most creative photos I have ever seen or been a part of. With her careful awareness of angles, shadows, and sunlight, she delivers some of the most beautiful photos that you will ever have taken of yourself. So from experience, I would highly recommend Theresa Butler for your photography needs. Theresa Butler + camera = success. Need I say more?

Theresa is a great photographer! I have a large family and she has a lot of patience to work with all of us! She has such a sweet personality and got the most incredible photos of my children. Her pricing is very reasonable. I look forward to having our holiday photos done in the near future!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I like children and babies so I find myself shooting a lot of pictures of kids. I've done several engagement sessions as well. And, family portraits are lots of fun :)

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. If you want a personable, friendly photographer who makes you feel totally comfortable in front of the camera....that's me :)

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. If you find yourself closing your eyes in pictures....try closing your eyes and asking the photographer to take the picture on "3". You open your eyes right before the picture is taken. Works every time!!

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Photography is an art form. Photographers have to love what they do to be good at it. You can just tell if someone is passionate about what they do by talking to them...even over the phone!! Call or interview several photographers before you decide who will capture your special memories.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love capturing your natural expressions :) Because I'm good at making people feel comfortable...that's pretty easy!!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. What should I wear? Better to stay away from white since it washes out natural color. Solids are best. Layered clothing and hats are great.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. There is much more to photography, good photography, than buying a DSLR camera and setting it to AUTO. Learning how the aperture, shutter speed and ISO work together, among other things, is imperative!

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. My father was an awesome photographer. It was in my blood. After my only child, my son, Matthew, was murdered in front of his recording studio in June 2008, I decided that life was just too short to NOT do what I loved to do. I am passionate about my job and love capturing your memories for you :)
