We really wanted to give Robert a good review. We liked him and we were hoping we had found our handyman for the future. We hired Robert to update our front entrance. Tasks were to paint the front door, switch out the address numbers and paint the pendant light on the front porch and replace the locks and handles on the front door. He did a good job on the numbers, light, and handles, but the front door was a HUGE disappointment. It was cold that day so he was having difficulty with his sprayer. When he left he expressed concern about how it would dry and said it 'might need touch up". I wasn;t there so I didnt see the door until the next day. The door didn't just need 'touch up". The paint job is full of lumps, bumps and streaks and has patches with no paint. Furthermore, we found overspray on the insides of the doors, on the brick exterior, on the porch and paint splattered on the driveway. Also, when he removed the dropcloths plastic he had taped on the door frame. the tape removed chucks of paint from the trim around the door. When I told Robert that the door did not simply need "touch up" and that it would need to be completely sanded and repainted and that the clean up needed to be done where paint was spilled/removed, he said he '"completely agreed". He then said he was going to have to CHARGE US $100 to clean up the mess he made. That was really disappointing. We thought we hired a professional to give us a professinally painted door. We definitely did not get a professionally painted door, and I would have expected a professional to stand by his work and deliver what he promised. It really didnt make sense to pay him more when he did not provide what we paid for in the first place. As a compromise, we offered him $50 for the time to re-do the door and offered another $50 for some other small projects around the house, and offered him another chance to earn our business. Robert never responded to our request. So, now we are starting over, looking for a handyman who can deliver professionalism and earn our business.
Fantastic work!! Al stain protected our fence with absolutely no bleeding of the work onto our neighbor's side. He was true to his word, very reasonably priced and completely professional. We've already called on him for our next home improvement project!
Tim was courteous, quick to schedule us in, and highly competent. He fixed the weatherproofing under two doors and fixed a lock on the front door--and was quick to determine the issues and figure out how to fix them.
Went great, Angel came up with a creative solution to repair my front door. I will use him in the future and recommend his services
Jon was very professional and punctual. He took his time and didn't just rush through it. The door he installed looks really nice and have gotten many complements.
Installed an exterior door with frame. Great work and efficient. Very polite and excellent communication. Would definitely hire again.
Worked very quickly and the work done was good. Hired Ezequiel to put in a new door+frame and repair some drywall.
Larry Glodt installed new door levers, hung a very large 60 pound mirror, and assembled a treadmill with a friendly attitude the whole while. He called ahead and was on time, neat and did not create any work for me. It’s a good feeling to see these things done and I am already planning on what more he can do for me.
great work repairing front door that needed alignment.
Look No Further!!!! We had several difficult jobs that they tackled with grace and style. Fixed our large sagging RV gates that work great now, reversed bi-fold bathroom doors to allow easier access, stopped the squeaks in our stairs, but most of all, fixed a terrible staining job on our cabinets that had orange-peeled from unprofessional finishing. They look fantastic, better than we hoped. Truly works of art! They were on time, on budget, brilliant at inexpensive solutions, artisans in everything they touched, and a great pleasure to have around!
Mario, gave me an honest estimate and pointed out the problem with my ceiling. He fixed my issue on short notice and did an awesome job. He also threw in an extra, when he fixed my front door on his way out (without being asked or charged). I will definitely keep Mario top of mind when I need future repairs done to my home.
I'm happy I selected United Renovations to restore my deck, front door and fix a number of dry wall holes. United Renovations was prompt and professional. They quickly returned my calls and provided me with continuous status updates (something I have rarely seen with Austin contractors). They consulted with me throughout the process ensuring that I was happy with the results. And also showed a lot of flexibility in terms on meeting my needs. Their work was also most importantly first rate. I definitely plan to use United Renovations again for future projects.
Jim is the real deal. The door installations he did for us look great.
Replaced 6 oversized Windows and the front door. Kyle and Krystal really helped navigate the selection process, and helped me stay within my budget. Excellent installation, huge improvement already. Will definitely use them as I get to my next replacement phase.
Bud and his assistant did a great job power washing our deck, drive way, and even the garage door. He repair/replaced part of the deck where wood are either wrapped or cracking. Overall I am very satisfied.
Great job installing our new front door! We're very glad we hired AD Contracting for this job!
TCS Renovation and Painting was excellent to work with from the start to the finish of my project. When Freddy came out to see what I was thinking for my project, he was thorough, taking pictures, making notes. He got an estimate to me within a day or so and the office kept in touch with me as I was waiting for financing for my project. It was easy to get a hold of Freddy with questions and the office was responsive to my emails and phone calls as the project was in progress. The builders that built my screened in porch were professional, courteous and easy to talk with. We collaborated on the decisions about details on my porch. I appreciated that they listened to my questions and ideas and offered suggestions but let me take the lead in deciding things like placement of the door, type of screening, etc. The whole process was very collaborative and I am THRILLED with the result. Working with TCS was the best experience I've had working with a contractor on a home improvement project.
Chris did a fantastic job and was very reasonable in price. I needed several small things done and he was very accommodating in agreeing to get the materials and arrange comfortable times to do the work. He furnished the labor and material. Repaired a fence post, , installed new dryer vent, caulked sixteen windows, removing and replacing solar screens to do so. He sealed and painted spots on upstairs ceiling and down stairs rooms, painted the front door, garage door jamb and replaced sweeps on storm doors. I highly recommend him and look forward to his doing two rooms of tile for me in October.
Jason Ewing with Trim Austin was asked to finish out a shed into a liveable space, sheetrocking walls and ceiling after stubbing for plumbing and electrical, installing a sliding door, a window unit and even creating closet. He did all of the flooring and went back to install the ceiling fan and doors. He then made it ultra nice with is speciality - trim and millwork. All were done per specifications in a timely and professional manner. We are totally impressed with the work of Trim Austin and would recommend Jason Ewing to anyone needing trim or millwork. Thanks Jason for making this project attainable - now my office away from home (in the backyard).
Finish-out a backyard shed built by a previous homeowner. Have also used Sergio Andrade to build-out a door connecting two bedrooms in my home. That job was on a tight timeline before flooring was installed and he came through for me. He is very prompt to appointments, courteous, hard working and reasonably priced. I would strongly recommend him, will definitely use him in the future, and ask that you give him a call. You won't be disappointed. Betty & Ken White, Round Rock
Salah did great work building out a new doorway where one didn’t exist, and closing up the old. With careful attention to detail, he matched the architecture of the previous doorway to make the final product look as if it had always been part of the home layout. Additionally, he helped with final design touches and installation of custom shelving in the newly created nook.
