Piano Lessons - by Jaysen
Introduction: Is there a Beatles song or a showtune you've always wanted to play? Don't understand how people can sit down and play a song from sheet music and make it sound like more than the notes on the page?
It doesn't matter if you have played for years or you're brand new to the instrument. All it takes is a little theory understanding and a sense of adventure.
I also teach beginning and intermediate piano by focusing strongly on good technique.
I have extensive experience teaching both kids and adults.
I am available from North Austin to Round Rock/Cedar Park.

Jaysen is our 10 yo son's piano teacher. Unlike most piano teachers who have a studio in town or at their home, Jaysen comes to you! We switched to him from our previous teacher and have been much happier. His breadth and knowledge of piano and reading sheet music is excellent. His rates are on par with other teachers. What we most appreciate about Jaysen...as if all of that wasn't enough...is his ability to work with our child in a way that our son responds to. Jaysen has a knack for bringing out the best in our son and he's coming along in ability far quicker than with his last teacher. For those who like a strict time for a lesson or a certain dressing style, let that go. He's driving from house to house and dresses in jeans and sandals, which is fine by me. I had to adjust my "arrival" expectations on that once I realized that the lesson time was not meant to be on the dot. Our son did not really like playing piano until Jaysen and now he's much more positive about it. Jaysen also shares my son's progress after each lesson, which I didn't get with our last teacher. I highly recommend him!

Jaysen and I worked together for many years at a private music school. He is an excellent musician and a great teacher. He knows his stuff and takes great care in providing the best education for his students.

Jaysen is very knowledgable and makes sure my daughter is learning proper piano technique. He's flexible and willing to work around my daughters complicated dance schedule.

Jaysen has been great to work with. He is specific with children and parents regarding what to work on and how child is progressing. Good communication...easy to contact if need to cancel/reschedule. I think he has only needed to reschedule once in over a year.
