Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I do a flat rate full service tuning on every piano I tune. How is this different? The difference is a full service tuning includes a lot more than just tuning the piano. And best of all, it's all included in the flat rate price so this eliminates surprises. If your piano has not been tuned for a while, it will most likely require a pitch raise ($30 value) to bring the piano back to the standard A440 pitch. Does your piano have some keys that are stuck? I'll fix those keys. If your piano has been tuned regularly, then I will spend the remaining time on areas of concern which may include action regulation, voicing, pedal adjustment, damper adjustment, etc. Pianos are very complex instruments and a lot more needs to be addressed than just the tuning. The whole idea is to make a notable improvement on your piano each time I service your piano. What I like most about my job is meeting other musicians. I also enjoy the challenge of working on issues that are technically more difficult to deal with.
