I first engaged Dr. Lee Enright for tutoring for the GRE's math section. I had been out of school for 20 years and needed a lot of refreshing. He was very great working with me and not making me feel subconscious about my deficiencies. I have made a lot of progress and feel better about the outcome of the test ahead of me. While working with Lee, I engaged Nancy Enright to look over my resume as I needed one for school and for future employment opportunities. She listened to my work history and my goals and it was a truly collaborative exchange. The final product was a Resume that shows me as the most qualified candidate for both graduate school and future employment. I am very satisfied with their help in my new journey. Thank you.
Can't say enough good things about Gary and his program! My son had taken the ACT test multiple times with no real change in his score. We decided kind of last minute to try Socrates tutoring. After only 3 weeks of tutoring, my son raised his score by 5 points! A true testament to this program! Thank you, Gary and Pam!
The quality of the tutoring was top notch that is why we bought a few too many tutoring sessions but they immediately refunded us a couple of hours promptly, with no questions asked. I was very impressed with the service I received. I would not hesitate to recommend Arbor Tutors to all of my friends and family.
"A patient, intuitive and smart tutor who really connects with me" Sandeep is an expert. He exceeded my expectations. If you want the best and if you want the best results, go with Sandeep. Sandeep is an excellent tutor. He was extremely thorough and quickly found my weaknesses. he was extremely valuable when he focused on my weak points and we worked together to improve them. He also helped me write, edit and proofread my college applications, essays, resume and cover letter. I had a wonderful experience with Sandeep. I really enjoyed my sessions with him. He is brilliant and he connected with and engaged me and truly made SAT prep fun and positive for me. I was also looking for someone to help me write my personal statement for my college apps and to polish up my cover letter and resume. I was looking for someone with excellent writing skills. Sandeep knows how to how to present my strengths in my essays and applications. I also worked with Sandeep remotely for a while (phone, emails & fax) and that saved a lot of time. Since Sandeep's rate is on the higher side, I did not work with him initially, but after working with him, I know he's totally worth it. Having worked with other tutors in the past, I can say that Sandeep is the tutor and writer you need if you are looking for the best. Don't wait.
Meanie is a suitable SAT Tutor.
Very good tutor and leads organized and informational sessions
Lee is friendly, flexible and always encouraging. My son enjoys going to him for tutoring.
To review now is a bit early. We have only done the initial consultation and tutoring will start next week. I was impressed with Monique who came to my house to visit with my daughter and I. Looking forward to a successful relationship.
Dr. Payne is great with the tutoring. We started with him for our first kid who was losing focus in Math and she is back on track doing her best. It's nice to see him work patiently with the kids to teach them the concepts and increase their interest. My younger one also started working with him this school year and they both have a better attitude towards learning, checking their work and wanting to excel. He has been helping my children with both science and math. I highly recommend him for children that needs help.
They did a great job with my daughter for the SAT. The tutor was very professional and knowledgeable.
My daughter is learning and enjoys the sessions; I like the flexibility and easy communication. We started SAT prep early & this is a perfect fit.
She is knowledgeable about what her students need to know. They are her first priority. Patience is important to her.
Dr. Fikar is extremely knowledgeable of the SAT and Subject tests, quite detailed with his approach and study materials, and patient with his teaching. While my son has yet to take the exam, I feel confident with Dr. Fikar guiding him toward the test date. Yes, he is expensive, but I believe the sessions will be well worth it. Highly recommended.
Excellent math tutor on HS accelerated math.
I’ve taken my SATs a couple of times and although I am not a bad student, I just felt that I could have done better, I knew it inside, but just could not find where it was. I got the Getting Into The Ivys tutoring program and worked with a Chelsea tutor. What I really like about my tutor is that she’s a qualified teacher and is professional and knows how to actually teach concepts properly. I really did not want to take any chances. Going to university is very important to me and my family. Susan my tutor developed a special study plan just for me, which helped me focus on my key weaknesses, without feeling de-motivated, in-fact I was so enthused by her, I actually looked forward to all my sessions. She is a brilliant tutor and I am so very grateful. I was able to increase my composite core by 100. I am very pleased.

I provide tutoring services for children and adults, either online or in person. If in person, I prefer a public location. I would prefer in person, rather than online, as I feel that the medium allows for a better connection. I have almost 4 years' experience as a teaching assistant, worked as a writing consultant in the Writing Center at the University of Texas at Dallas, have previous experience tutoring children and adults, and have worked as an SAT (English) and ACT teacher. I have my BA and MA in psychology and am currently working on my PhD in arts and humanities. I'm very patient, and with my psychology background, I have worked in mental health and have experience with individuals with psychological diagnoses, learning disorders, and emotional issues. I specialize in English -- writing, reading, editing, as well as study skills, organization, the social sciences, and humanities. I'm well-versed in a multitude of topics. If you're looking for a tutor for a specific subject, just ask!
My business belief is this: quality over quantity. I am a certified science composite secondary teacher in the state of Texas and I am in good standing with the Texas Education Agency. My first bachelor's degree was in chemistry with an emphasis in organic chemistry. My second bachelor's degree was in biology. I have taken numerous standardized exams such as the GRE and PCAT. For fun, I have studied for the MCAT and LSAT. I am also bilingual in Mandarin Chinese.
