I trained with Andrea for about 9 months and absolutely loved her! She is very knowledgeable and creative! You never feel like you're in a rut because she's always got a new technique up her sleeve. Even with a bum knee (7 surgeries and no ACL), Andrea was able to find workouts that were very effective but easy on my knees! I highly suggest booking Andrea as your trainer. If I lived closer to her I'd still be with her!

I loved riding horses on the trials! Personally, I liked that our guide wasn't all up in our converstatiobs we were having so it gave me time to talk to my aunt and enjoy the riding. The first time I went I rode Princess I think and that was loads of fun. I loved it so much that I begged to go back and rode Aero my second time. The best part was that you weren't cramped up in the woods hitting all the trees with your head, we rode along the river on a dirt path and there was so much room that our guide would let us trot and my aunt and I had races with the horses. I would say it was definitely the best trial ride I have ever done and the stable was SO big and clean. I enjoyed petting all the horses in the stalls. The dogs in the barn are funny too when they run across the board above your head, looking down at the stalls. I can't remember the horses name but we got to pet a HUGE black perchron and he was the sweetest thing! I can't wait to go visit my aunt and go horse riding with her at Stockyard Stables. It's totally worth it!

I have boarded my horse, Chip, for almost a year at Cold River and both my horse and I could not be happier. He shares a large pasture with geldings only and Melissa matched my horse's temperament with several others and made the perfect placement. She is always checking to make sure all the horses in her care are doing well. I have always boarded my horses and Melissa's knowledge about horse care and natural horsemanship training is "second to none". I will always keep Chip at Cold River as long as I live in this area.

We have been working with Danielle for the past few months and have been thoroughly pleased with her training. She has trained several of my horses ranging from the ages of 2 to 16 years old. It has been years since I have dealt with horses and my other family members are pretty inexperienced with them but Danielle has taught us confidence so that we can enjoy our horses more. She has also given riding lessons to myself and my 11 year old daughter as well as my friends daughter. Danielle is very pleasant to work with and is very reliable. We will definitely continue to use her training for several more months, possibly years.!!

Ellen is a trainer that puts her horses and students before herself. She makes sure, day in and day out, that her clients are happy with her services and on their way to success. Ellen gives her students the correct tools and instruction so their riding experience is maximized. She gives it her all to make sure every horse and rider is safe and well educated and she knows what she's doing and does it very well. She has brought my riding to a whole new level, and every step of the way, I knew my horse and I were in the best hands possible. The barn is clean, well organized, and focuses on the needs of the horses. Ellen's barn is also the most family friendly and drama-free barn I've been to. Rockwall Hills Equestrian Center is definitely a top notch facility that is a huge pleasure to be a part of.

About

I have 30 years of experience working with horses. Those years include barrel racing, trail riding, leisure riding and teaching adults and children the art of riding and caring for horses. Also, I am currently taking classes to further my knowledge to feed my passion on the nutrition and science in the equine industry. Equine has always been a huge part of my family's lifestyle. I have been a teacher for 11 years, which has assisted me with how to work with children of all ages. It has taught me how to pay special attention to detail and how everyone learns by various methods (visual, audio and hands-on).
