She keeps money that she has no right to. If she gets a deposit from you, expect her to keep it no matter what.
She will go ahead and say she is charging you for all kinds of paperwork she did, yet there is no paperwork that she can give you. She won't give an itemized receipt specifying charges, either.
I complained to the board about her, and she said I never wanted a receipt because I didn't want my husband to see it. BS, my ex does not even live in my home.
This attorney is full of it. Please get a competent, non-crooked lawyer instead of her.

I highly recommend Gina Gilstrap Law & Mediation!! I went to her feeling hopeless in my divorce situation. She was comforting to me yet very aggressive in the courtroom. Not only did I win my divorce, she made my ex pay me monthly alimony payments and our children's school tuition and health insurance! During divorce debates - she pulled out the law books and schooled my ex's lawyer proving we were right and they were wrong. She knows the law!! Gina, helped me out on a child support issue I had been dealing with for almost 18 years. She was very professional, and firm about what we wanted. If not for I would not have gotten what we did at a very critical time. I strongly believe in her, and she stands up for what she believes in, starting with her client.

My fiance hired Gina prematurely for paternity case. He was able to settle the matter prior to going to court through the child support office. He paid all his legal fees up front. He contacted her to through email and text to let her know the outcome and see if he could possibly get some of his money back. She has yet to respond. So he basically paid her for nothing. What make matters worst is the fact she is ignoring him. To me ignoring a person allows them to assume the worse. It also make us have to chase her for answer. Who really want to go through that. It would of been much easier if she gave an honest answer. I can take a no better than being ignore. It been close to 3 weeks since he contacted her. He been very respectful and up front. I hate that I referred her to him and feel partially responsible. The least I can do it share our story to prevent this from happening again.

I am sorry that he is disappointed. He hired me to file a case. The case was filed there are fees that are paid to the court when it is filed. He decided not to follow through with the court case, but unfortunately he can not get his money back from them. And unfortunately the "child support office" did not and cannot settle this matter. Only a judge can.
